  • Publication number: 20220168530
Abstract: An intubation device utilizes a steerable endotracheal tube guide, a novel mechanism to automatically position an endotracheal tube at the laryngeal opening, and a novel system for soft tissue retraction to improve visualization of the laryngeal opening. An ETT is positioned within an overtube having proximal and distal ends and a flexible tip. The distal end houses a feeder mechanism for displacing the endotracheal tube through the overtube. A hood includes a stem, base, and expandable body, and may be affixed to the overtube's distal end. The ETT-containing overtube is precisely positioned at a laryngeal opening via positioning effects of body expansion, activation of a tip director, and/or flexible tip articulation. Unhindered visualization of the laryngeal opening is achieved by the expandable body, pushing the soft tissue outwardly and extensibly. An actuation module controls the feeder mechanism as well as the flexible tip to position flexible tip and endotracheal tube.

  • Patent number: 11298267
Abstract: The present disclosure discussed a handpiece for trans-canal delivery of a therapeutic substance to the inner ear. The handpiece can be inserted into the middle ear via a surgical tympanotomy approach. The handpiece can enable a controlled injection of a therapeutic substance directly through the round window membrane and into the inner ear. The direct delivery of the therapeutic substance to the inner ear can enable the delivery of a precise amount of therapeutic substance into the inner ear. Because the therapeutic substance is delivery directly to the inner ear the delivery of the therapeutic substance is not subject to limitations on molecule size and inconsistent diffusion rates that are present when therapeutic substances are diffused across the round window membrane.

  • Publication number: 20220057136
Abstract: A cooling unit has an internal chamber having a linear lighting source (an in-line lighting source) that has a row of light sources. The row of light sources are has at least one visible light section and at least one ultraviolet light section. The visible light sections and the ultraviolet light sections are all aligned in a single line and the visible light section and the ultraviolet light section are alternatingly placed in the line so a visible light section is adjacent to a ultraviolet light section. The visible light section has one or more visible light emitting LEDs and the ultraviolet light section has one or more ultraviolet light emitting LEDs. Each of the visible light emitting LEDs and the ultraviolet light emitting LEDs are all aligned in the line, as well as the visible light sections and the ultraviolet light sections.

  • Publication number: 20220036868
Abstract: A method creates a virtual ensemble file by receiving, at a central assembler node, recorded performance files from a recording node(s). The recording nodes generate a respective one of the performance files concurrently with playing a backing track and/or nodal metronome signal. Each performance file includes audio and/or visual data. The assembler node generates the ensemble file as a digital output file. Another method creates the ensemble file by receiving input signals inclusive of the backing track and/or metronome signal at the recording node(s), and generating the performance files at the recording node(s) concurrently with playing the backing track and/or metronome signal. The performance files are transmitted to the assembler node. A computer-readable medium or media has instructions for creating the ensemble file, with execution causing a first node to generate the performance files, and a second node to receive the same and generate the ensemble file.

  • Patent number: 11208068
Abstract: A side airbag inflatable between an occupant of a vehicle seat and structure of the vehicle adjacent the vehicle seat. The side airbag includes a first airbag panel for being positioned facing away from the vehicle seat and a second airbag panel for being positioned facing the vehicle seat. The first and second panels define an inflatable volume of the side airbag. A tether assembly includes a first anchor panel attached to a first portion of the first airbag panel, a second anchor panel attached to a second portion of the first airbag panel, and a strap that interconnects the first anchor panel and the second anchor panel. The tether assembly is dimensioned and configured to limit movement of the first and second portions away from each other in response to inflation of the side airbag so that the side airbag assumes a curved shape when inflated.
