  • Patent number: 9962310
Abstract: An apparatus for stretching includes a base element, a housing, a strap element, and a ratcheting element. The housing has a strap egress, a first handle, and a second handle. The strap element has a first end and a second end, where the first end is coupled with the base element and the second end is mounted on a rotating element within the housing, such that the strap element can move in and out of the egress. The ratcheting element is for decreasing an exposed length of the strap between the base element and the housing by rotating one of the handles in a first direction. The base element has a diameter that is adjustable between an operating configuration and a stored configuration. The base element forms a planar surface when in the operating configuration and holds the housing above the planar surface when the base element is in the stored configuration.

  • Publication number: 20180043388
Abstract: An improved pneumatic jetting valve includes a housing with first and second chambers. A pneumatic piston is enclosed between the chambers. First and second solenoid valves are configured to respectively supply air pressure to the chambers and to exhaust the chambers. A controller is operable to regulate the pressurization and venting of the chambers. The controller controls the timing of control signals for the first and second solenoid valves to control the overlap time during which both the first and second chambers are pressurized. By controlling this overlap time, the controller controls the speed of the drive pin of the jetting valve and thereby the speed at which the valve closes to jet a droplet of material. This allows a valve speed to be selected that is most appropriate for the viscosity of the material being jetted. Numerous new methods for utilizing the improved jetting valve and system are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9836480
Abstract: A software and hardware facility persistently maintains metrics on directories at different levels within a tree of a filesystem. The facility hierarchically aggregates attributes of files contained by directories and stores them as metric values in each directory within a tree. The stored values represent summed or otherwise aggregated data from the descendant directories and files. The metric values represent aggregated attributes such as checksums, MIN and/or MAX aggregates, sameness bits, bloom filter aggregates, queryable user tags, moving average aggregates, b-tree aggregates, etc. The facility provides mechanisms for efficiently sampling activities performed by the filesystem and visually representing these activities.

  • Patent number: 9836281
Abstract: Methods and systems for encrypting data are disclosed. A circuit uses a white noise generator to capture a random string of bits as an encryption key. The encryption key is generated at a central server and is provided to a subscriber on a physical memory device. The subscriber uses the encryption key to encrypt a source data file. The encrypted data file is sent to the central server, which uses the encryption key to decrypt the encrypted data file and to recover the source data file. The file name for the source data file may be encrypted into the encrypted data file and a new name assigned to the encrypted data file. A random number index may be used to identify the starting point of the encrypted file.
