  • Patent number: 11347025
Abstract: Kinematic mounts disclosed in this application are made from three main components: a housing, a footing, and a tightening mechanism. The tightening mechanism includes three parts: a top portion, a bottom portion, and a locking interface mechanism. When the top portion, which includes a hollow tip with interior threading, is screwed down onto the bottom portion, which includes a threaded tip, the locking interface component is pressed against at least one interior surface of the housing that causes the housing to be pressed against the footing. This action holds the housing in place relative to the footing while simultaneously preventing unwanted movement of the housing during tightening.

  • Patent number: 11246430
Abstract: Kinematic mounts are used frequently to hold objects such as mirrors, lenses, and other optical equipment. To adjust kinematic mounts, adjustment mechanisms are often required. Adjustment mechanisms can be used to make fine adjustments in applications where precision is required (e.g., laser system prototyping). Kinematic mounts that include never-before implemented form factors and structural elements require new adjustment solutions. This application describes systems that include both novel kinematic mounts as well as new adjustment mechanisms developed to reorient the new kinematic mounts. Adjustment mechanisms described in this application include a main body, a control frame, and control screws to adjust the orientation of the control frame. The control frame is coupled with a kinematic mount's housing, which rotates about a center of curvature of a bottom surface of the housing.

  • Publication number: 20220004577
Abstract: Techniques for visualizing dependencies in a data analytics system are described. In an embodiment, a visualization system may receive datasets and dataset dependency information for the datasets. The visualization system may receive a first type of analysis objects from a first analysis object system and dataset dependency information from an analysis object dependency service. The visualization system may receive a second type of analysis objects from a second analysis object system. The second type of analysis object may include a JSON representation of a set of operations that are applied during analysis such as a set of programming instructions. The visualization system may traverse and analyze the JSON representation to determine, for a given analysis object, one or more parent dependencies. The visualization system can then generate a graph of the datasets and analysis objects.
