  • Publication number: 20060059791
Abstract: A wall for a truck bed and particularly for dump trucks includes planks joined to one another along their lengths and a cap member joined to the upper plank along their lengths. Adjacent planks are joined along respective connecting sides by engagement of a pivot of a first plank within a pivot-receiving slot of a second plank, rotation of the planks with respect to one another about the pivot and attachment by snap-fit engagement. The first plank connecting side includes an arcuate wing and the second plank connecting side includes an arcuate extension, the wing and extension being received respectively in a wing-receiving slot formed in the second plank and an extension-receiving slot formed in the first plank during the relative rotation of the planks. The cap member is joined to the upper plank in a similar manner except that attachment is by welding rather than snap-fit engagement.

  • Publication number: 20060039788
Abstract: A cobalt-based alloy composition having a relatively small lanthanum addition and relatively large carbon content provides remarkable oxidation resistance and wear resistance at high temperatures. The cobalt-based alloy composition has a suitable combination of ductility and wear resistance at high temperatures to be effective as a hard face material for limiting the effects of chattering of blades during the operation of a gas turbine engine. Further, the cobalt-based alloy has a suitable combination of ductility, oxidation resistance and wear resistance and thus represents an improved hard facing material for the blade components of gas turbine engine. The hardface coating material is capable of forming a diffusion boundary between the hardface coating material and the shroud section. The hardface coating material may comprise an alloy with substantially no oxide forming constituents so as to avoid the formation of oxide inclusions in the coating material.

  • Publication number: 20050241147
Abstract: A method for forming a wear-resistant hardfaced contact area on the shroud section of a gas turbine engine blade. A predetermined contact area of a shroud section of a gas turbine engine blade is selectively coated with a high-density hardface coating material. The hardface coating material is capable of forming a diffusion boundary between the hardface coating material and the shroud section. A hot isostatic heat treatment process is performed to form the diffusion boundary between the hardface coating material and the shroud section to form a wear-resistant hardfaced contact area diffusion bonded to the shroud section. Depending on the coating process, and the necessity for doing so, the predetermined contact area can be masked off before the step of selectively coating. A sintering heat treatment can be perfomed before the step of performing the hot isostatic heat treatment to limit the occurrence bubbles on the surface of the hardface coating material after the isostatic heat treatment step.

  • Publication number: 20050234723
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for performing speech recognition using observable and meaningful relationships between words within a single utterance and using a structured data source as a source of constraints on the recognition process. Results from a first constrained speech recognition pass can be combined with information about the observable and meaningful word relationships to constrain or simplify subsequent recognition passes. This iterative process greatly reduces the search space required for each recognition pass, making the speech recognition process more efficient, faster and accurate.

  • Patent number: 6910201
Abstract: A standardized silicon platform chip has a substrate surface with an array of unconnected transistors that surround islands. The islands have circuit elements that are interconnectable within each island to form a plurality of varied circuit functions for each of the islands. The varied circuit functions include both application functions and clock functions. Interconnect layers are deposited over the substrate surface to interconnect the circuit elements within each island to complete the varied circuit functions. The varied circuit functions include varied levels of integration including at least gates, flip-flops, clock trees, and oscillators. The varied circuit functions are custom connectable to the array of unconnected transistors to form standard clock resources for the standardized silicon platform chip.

  • Publication number: 20040015964
Abstract: Methods and systems for load sharing signaling messages among signaling links in a network utilizing an international signaling protocol are disclosed. A routing node receives a signaling message formatted according to an international signaling protocol. The routing node generates a signaling link selection parameter for the signaling message. The routing node selects an outbound signaling link based on the generated signaling link selection parameter. The number of bits in the generated SLS value is user-configurable, thus allowing load sharing among arbitrary numbers of signaling links.
