  • Publication number: 20140324982
Abstract: Text messages over some period of time are collected. Topic identifiers, such as hashtags, are extracted from the text messages. The text messages associated with each topic identifier are processed to identify which topic identifiers are associated with group chats based on information associated with the text messages such as the times when the text messages were generated and whether the text messages identify user accounts. The topic identifiers that are determined to be associated with the group chats are incorporated into applications that allow users to search for group chats, and to view text messages from past group chats.

  • Publication number: 20140225734
Abstract: An apparatus, system and method for inhibiting electronic article surveillance, EAS, system alarming are provided. A receiver is configured to receive captured identification data after a transaction. A processor is configured to determine whether the captured identification data is associated with the transaction. The processor is further configured to determine whether to inhibit EAS system alarming based at least in part on the determination whether the captured identification data is associated with the transaction. The determination whether to inhibit EAS system alarming is made without regard to whether an active EAS tag is detected. A transmitter configured to transmit an authorization message. The authorization message indicates whether to inhibit EAS system alarming.

  • Publication number: 20140154422
Abstract: The application relates to a process for producing a coating by thermal spraying, in particular by plasma spraying, in which a component, in particular a cylinder liner, is internally coated with an alloy, wherein a plasma nozzle, to which a plasma gas and a transporting gas are fed, rotates about a wire and is movable along a longitudinal axis of the bore, such that the bore is coated as seen from the inside all around and in the axial direction of the bore. What is proposed is a variable gas stream or a variable flow rate of the transporting gas and/or of the plasma gas, it being possible for the flow rate to be set over the axial length (x) of the bore to be coated.

  • Publication number: 20130330340
Abstract: Production of recombinant Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor fused to the Fc region of an antibody (TNFRII-Fc fragment fusion protein) in a glycoengineered yeast strain that is capable of producing sialylated N-glycans and O-glycans is described. Compositions of TNFRII-Fc fragment fusion protein comprising dystroglycan type O-glycans and sialylated N- and O-glycans with only terminal N-acetylneuraminic acid (NANA) residues in an ?2,6-linkage are provided. In particular aspects, methods are provided for modulating the in vivo pharmacokinetics of the TNFRII-Fc fragment fusion protein by altering the O-glycan structure on the molecule.

  • Patent number: 8543982
Abstract: A financial institution can provide financial services to a plurality of remote devices, such as personal computers, personal data assistants, screen phones, automatic teller machines, external service providers, and internally to staff terminals and individual branches. By separating the components of the system into independent components, the system and method can be developed and tested on a component level rather than the entire system level, thereby reducing the development and maintenance cycle time. The system and method operate in sessions and can employ a dialog component for gathering information from a customer, a rule broker component for providing answers to the various legal and regulatory rules in a particular country, a language man component for selecting appropriate language, a transaction executor component for performing transactions, and a presentation manager component for formatting outputs to the customer.
