  • Publication number: 20230225058
Abstract: Electrical circuitry is produced on the surface of an organic polymer. The electrical circuitry is produced on a support, and a polymerizable composition is brought into contact with the support and the circuitry. The polymerizable composition is polymerized while in contact with support and the circuitry to produce a solid, organic polymer. The electrical circuitry becomes adhered to and partially embedded in a surface of the solid organic polymer. The support may be removed subsequent to the polymerization step to expose the circuitry at the surface of the solid organic polymer.

  • Patent number: 11657498
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for a lighting controller for sea lice detection. In some implementations, fish are contained within an elliptical tank filled with water. An imaging station located on the elliptical tank is used to capture an image of a fish from which image analysis can be performed to detect sea lice or other skin features, including lesions, on the fish. Pairs of imaging assemblies coordinate pulsing light of at least a first and a second color and capturing images of the fish while the fish is illuminated by at least the first and the second color. By using the captured images with different color light, computers can detect features on the body of a fish including sea lice, skin lesions, shortened operculum or other physical deformities and skin features. Detection results can aid in mitigation techniques or be stored for analytics.

  • Publication number: 20230072144
Abstract: A vortex air flow material grinding apparatus includes a cylindrical lower chamber with an open interior. An inverted conical-shaped upper chamber is connected to the lower chamber, and an air knife assembly is connected to an annular side wall of the lower chamber to thereby inject air into the open interior of the lower chamber and create a vortex air flow in the lower chamber that extends upward into the upper chamber. Methods for grinding a material are further provided in which a material is first introduced into the apparatus. An amount of compressed air is then injected into the circular lower chamber to create an air vortex where material entrained in the air vortex tumbles against itself and is pulverized. The material in the air vortex can then be processed for a period of time sufficient to pulverize the material to a desired size.

  • Publication number: 20230009903
Abstract: A system and method are provided for storing and recovering electricity generated from conventional/renewable energy sources. A thermal energy storage vessel contains thermal storage fluid (“TSF”) comprising a eutectic ternary nitrate molten salt, induction heating elements, turbine pumps, a heat exchanger, and various data acquisition sensors like thermocouples and thermistors. The immersion heating elements receive the electricity generated from conventional and/or renewable energy source to heat the eutectic ternary nitrate molten salt to the desired temperature. Coiled tubing is deployed within the thermal containment vessel to be distribution systems for the power cycle working gas and heat exchange for the power cycle working gas. The power cycle working gas is delivered under pressure to a steam turbine. The turbine converts the energy into mechanical shaft work to drive an electricity generator to produce electricity.
