  • Patent number: 9590472
Abstract: A power generation system has a housing with a first housing section (I) and a second housing section (II), an alternator arranged within the first housing section (I) and a gas turbine arranged within the second housing section (II). The alternator is drivable by the gas turbine, wherein the first housing section (I) includes an air inlet through which an airstream is injectable into the first housing section (I) such that the airstream passes the alternator and cools the alternator. The first housing section (I) is coupled to the second housing section (II) such that the airstream is feedable into the second housing section (II) after the airstream has passed the alternator. The second housing section (II) includes an air outlet through which the airstream is exhaustable after passing the gas turbine.

  • Patent number: 9539921
Abstract: A head support for a pushchair comprises a support section, a seat connection section and a back support. The support section forms a U-shape and comprises an armature, comprising sides, that provides stiffness to the support section. The seat connection section is coupled to the support section and is for connecting to the pushchair. The back support is connected to the support section or connectable to the support section and configured such that, when connected to the support section, it prevents the sides of the armature from dropping relative to the back support in use.

  • Publication number: 20160249426
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed herein for projecting lighting effects (124, 224, 324, 424) carrying light messages onto surfaces. A first of one or more light-emitting diodes (LEDs, 554) of a lighting fixture (120, 220, 320, 420, 520) may be selectively energized to produce a first coded light signal conveying a first light message associable with a first location. Light emitted from the first LED may be projected onto a first surface, e.g., as a spatially-limited lighting effect. In some embodiments, a second of the one or more LEDs of the lighting fixture may be selectively energized to produce a second coded light signal conveying a second light message associable with a second location distinct from the first location. Light emitted from the second LED may be projected onto the first surface or a second surface. Alternatively, lighting effects of various shapes and hues may convey information.

  • Patent number: 9404935
Abstract: The present invention relates to metrological rotary devices, such as anemometers and the like. Specifically, the present invention relates to a mechanical coupling for the same, whereby an anemometer cup-rotor or like device, can be replaced without the use of a tool. The present invention seeks to provide a coupling device which makes a mechanical coupling between a first and a second member such that the locking together and release action is positive, without likelihood of failure, and can be conducted simply and quickly without the use of a tool. Further objects of the invention are to provide couplings in which a positive axial and rotational location of shaft as first member and mating bore in a second member are obtained which do not cause damage to either of the sliding surfaces when excessive force is applied, and which are capable of transmitting a torque, such couplings being suitable for attaching a rotor to an anemometer.

  • Publication number: 20150373812
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for automatic grouping of light sources within an illumination system. The method is performed starting from a first light source of the illumination system emitting a first light signal and a first sound signal. The method includes steps of using an intensity of the first light signal as received by a second light source and an intensity of the first sound signal as received by the second light source to determine a value of a grouping function (410, 420), and assigning the first light source and the second light source to the same group of light sources when the determined value of the grouping function satisfies one or more pre-determined conditions (430, 440, 450). In this manner, a determination could be made whether or not the first and second light sources should be assigned to the same group in a manner that yields improved results over the prior art solutions.
