  • Patent number: 10712397
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods and apparatus for locating luminaires within a lighting system where multiple luminaires are located on a grid of DC power rails. The AC signal generator connects to each DC power rail and transmits an AC signal along each DC power rail in turn to luminaires that each compute their distance from the generator based upon the AC signal. The AC signal generator may similarly transmit and receive data communications with luminaires across DC power rails.

  • Patent number: 10632356
Abstract: An improved golf club grip 10a, 10b, 10c with a well-defined and pronounced reminder rib 20a, 20b, 20c includes in one embodiment of the present disclosure a groove 32 positioned in the exterior surface 34 on each side of or surrounding a ridge 24a that extends lengthwise inside the body 14a of the grip 10a. When the golf grip 10a is installed on a golf club shaft 12, the groove 32 facilitates the flexing of the grip material for forming the reminder rib 20a. In another embodiment of the present disclosure, the grip 10b, 10c is provided with a raised portion 36 of a selected material in a select region on the grip 10b, 10c. When the golf grip 10b, 10c is installed on a golf club shaft 12, the raised portion 36 becomes the reminder rib 20b, 20c.

  • Patent number: 10588127
Abstract: A method of communicating between a primary station and a plurality of secondary stations is described. According to one aspect, the secondary station monitors a control channel search space for a control message from a primary station intended for the communication device. According to an aspect, the control message is indicative of a resource allocated to the secondary station for communicating with the primary station and the resource corresponds to a component carrier. The secondary station determines a control channel from the control channel search space having the control message intended for the secondary station and determines, based on a presence of the control channel on a specific component carrier, the indication of a resource set from a plurality of resources sets in which the resource allocated to the secondary station is located.

  • Publication number: 20200066181
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed herein for generating personalized nutritional recommendations for foods available from one or more food sources. Using the technologies described herein, a programmatic analysis is performed on different data to predict values of personalized nutrition data, such as one or more target biomarkers, that are associated with an individual after eating the foods. Personalized nutritional recommendations for foods available from the food sources are then generated, using the predicted values, and provided to the individual. The predictions are based on data that is associated with the individual, such as microbiome data, triglycerides data, glucose data, nutritional data, questionnaire data, and the like. A prediction service can utilize a machine learning mechanism to generate the predicted personalized nutrition data. A nutrition service utilizes the predicted personalized nutrition data when generating the personalized nutritional recommendations.

  • Patent number: 10490878
Abstract: A lightweight 2.4 GHZ antenna designed to be clipped onto a laptop computer or mobile device to extend the range of operation. The device consists of a tubular plastic frame upon which wire loops and a reflector are mounted and aimed toward the intended source of Wi-Fi signal. Radio-Frequency energy is transferred bidirectionally from the antenna to embedded antennas in the laptop computer or mobile device so no hardwired connection is necessary. Operation requires no power. The device can be scaled to 5 GHz Wi-Fi and other frequency bands including cellular.

  • Publication number: 20190336837
Abstract: A lightweight compression molded multicolor golf grip having at least a first section and a second section of differing colors and composed of elastomer compounds having a density of less than 0.90 g/cc, and joined by cross-linking across a sharply defined cross-color interface having an interface transition zone beyond which there is no mixing of the colors. The grip has a soft feel and unique compression characteristics achieved in some embodiments through the controlled use of an expanding blowing agent in a rubber compound. Achieving the sharply defined cross-color interface is due in part to the use of complementary geometries at opposing interface edges to increase the stability of the interface and reduce the flow during molding associated with the increased viscosity of low density rubber compounds, promote cross-linking of the sections, and better distribute and control the consolidation pressure.

  • Publication number: 20190303512
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for digital design tools. One example method comprises obtaining an electronic model of a structure, the electronic model including a objects, and the objects representing physical objects to be constructed. Dependencies between the objects are determined, with the determined dependencies indicating that a first object is to be constructed prior to a second object. Construction orderings are generated based on the determined dependencies, with each construction ordering indicating a unique order in which the objects are to be constructed. A user interface is presented via a user device describing the construction orderings, with a system being configured to trigger updates to the electronic model in response to received material changes associated with the electronic model.

  • Patent number: 10419832
Abstract: A communication module uses information received from a metrology module within the same network device and information about the properties of the specific metrology module, such as supply capacity and pulse volume, to determine when an error condition exits. The communication module accumulates pulses during an accumulation interval and compares the number of pulses accumulated during the accumulation interval to a threshold number of pulses to determine whether an error condition exists. If there is an error condition, then the communication module generates an alert and may transmit the alert without waiting for a scheduled communication.

  • Patent number: 10412170
Abstract: A network-based data store may implement retention-based management techniques for data stored at the network-based data store. When data is received for storage at the network-based data store, a retention time for the data may be determined. Storage locations at persistent storage devices of the network-based data store may be selected according to the retention time. The data may then be placed at the storage locations. When a request to delete data is received, retention times of co-located data may be evaluated to determine whether the deletion may be delayed. Delayed deletions may allow the data to be subsequently deleted with at least some of the co-located data. Repair operations to maintain the data according to a durability policy may be modified according to retention time for a data suffering a loss of redundancy.
