In some cases, the retaining mechanism can include a flange that extends inwardly of the trim plate such that the flange retains the trim surround in place around the trim plate when the door latching assembly is mounted to a door.

The processing unit is configured to capture the keypad input event. Based at least in part on a characteristic of the keypad input event, the processing unit indicates if a tampering event exists. The characteristic includes at least one of an input location on the keypad, an input duration on the keypad, and an input timestamp.

    Abstract: A voltage regulator circuit can include two feedback loops, such as to reduce or suppress an unwanted transient condition in an output voltage during transient conditions such as during startup or during load current demand transients. One of the two feedback loops can include a shunt device arranged to provide a temporary current pathway during the transient condition to change current provided to a load connected to an output of the voltage regulation circuit. In addition, or instead, the voltage regulator circuit can include an open-loop regulation circuit separate from a loop corresponding to the first error amplifier. The open-loop regulator circuit can operate in a lower-power mode as compared to a closed-loop regulator circuit. A portion or an entirety of the voltage regulator circuit can be implemented in an integrated circuit, such as monolithically.

    Abstract: An adapter for either a handle set or a lever set door lever is equipped with a pair of springs to provide a pre-load on the spindle. The pre-load prevents sagging of the lever due to the large mass of the lever. A sleeve in the adapter is formed out of a compressible material that accepts the spindle in a press-fit configuration. This allows for greater manufacturing tolerances while still providing a solid and secure engagement between the spindle and the adapter. As a result, any free play in the lever is eliminated and the lever is maintained in a horizontal, home position when the lever is not in use. Following use through rotation of the lever, the springs promptly return the lever back to the home position while the sleeve prevents any slop or free-play in the lever's motion.
