Abstract: Integrated circuits including a ferroelectric memory cell and methods for manufacturing the same. One embodiment of the memory cells include three main layers: a first oxide ferroelectric layer, a second oxide anti-ferroelectric layer, and a covering layer. The ferroelectric material of the first and second oxides include as main components oxygen and any of the group containing Hf, Zr, and (Hf, Zr).

Abstract: A door handle may be mounted to a door with concealed fasteners. The fasteners do not engage the door itself, but rather engage a top plate that is mounted to the door. The fasteners are inserted into a hidden portion of the door handle and generate an opposing force as they press against a bulging portion of the top plate to produce a force that retains the door handle in place. The force generated also urges the door handle into a bottom plate on an opposing side of the door handle. The bottom plate includes a first and second planar section. The second planar section of the bottom plate is received into a receiving slot of the door handle. As a result, the door handle is retained on the door without any visible fasteners.

Abstract: An adapter for either a handle set or a lever set door lever is equipped with a pair of springs to provide a pre-load on the spindle. The pre-load prevents sagging of the lever due to the large mass of the lever. A sleeve in the adapter is formed out of a compressible material that accepts the spindle in a press-fit configuration. This allows for greater manufacturing tolerances while still providing a solid and secure engagement between the spindle and the adapter. As a result, any free play in the lever is eliminated and the lever is maintained in a horizontal, home position when the lever is not in use. Following use through rotation of the lever, the springs promptly return the lever back to the home position while the sleeve prevents any slop or free-play in the lever's motion.

Abstract: A system and method that generate digests for data transactions provide non-repudiation of collected data. Meta data based on the Data DNA modeling are collected for all data transactions in a system. The digest of the data transactions is encrypted. A digest is also generated for user sessions and time periods. The digests are recorded as part of Data DNA records and can be used for validation of data transactions in the system.

Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus and a system, as well as a method and an article, may operate to retrieve a parsing instructions file and a binary configuration file stored in a housing, parse the binary configuration file according to the parsing instructions file to determine configuration information, display at least some of the configuration information as part of a graphical user interface, receive a selection of some of the configuration information and corresponding changed parameter values of the configuration information, transform the binary configuration file into a transformed version of the binary configuration file, and transmit the transformed version of the binary configuration file to the housing as a replacement for the binary configuration file. Additional apparatus, systems, and methods are described.

Abstract: A housing configured to accept a rekeyable lock core for use in lockable enclosures. The housing is configured to use a lock core that is designed for deadbolt and door lever/knob operation. The housing allows a rekeyable lock cylinder to be used in one's home as well as other enclosure enclosures. A common key may therefore be used for all devices as the lock core is of a rekeyable design.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for evolving a shared to-do list into a business process is disclosed. A business process includes one or more business steps and zero or more action rules related to the business steps. Members of a workgroup participate in the business process and are able to view, modify, add and delete business steps and action rules as needed. An action rule is comprised of one or more business actions and one or more events that trigger the actions to be executed. A computer program keeps track of the business steps, interprets the set of rules, and updates states of the business process, notifies the members and validates and accepts modifications by the members to the action rules of a business steps.

Abstract: An electronic lock may be used to monitor and control access throughout a home. The electronic lock is preferably mounted to a main enter/exit door on the home as this provides a good point of contact for users entering and leaving the home. The electronic lock may monitor users, appliances, safety, and operation of interior doors. Access may be controlled and/or monitored by users with a mobile device or through any other similar device.

Abstract: A system allows smart backup and restore of databases. The system identifies a database affected by a database operation recorded by a database event record, identifies a database operation time recorded by the database event record, and requests to restore the database to a version backed up prior to the database operation time.

Abstract: A system and method that correlate business transaction in a system and traffic generated from this business transaction in a network back to a user identity that invoked this business transaction and generated subsequent network traffic. The method enables a user to set up rules for tracking the activities in a system and network traffic and these rules can then be used later for monitoring user activities. The user activities, network traffic, and the user identity are correlated and stored in a data-to-business mapping file. This data-to-business mapping file can be used for auditing events in the system.

Abstract: A touch screen electronic deadbolt includes a planar, exterior touch panel with a touch overlay for receiving tactile input for entry of an access code to engage and disengage a deadbolt. The touch panel is contained within a housing cavity of a rectilinear housing. A touch overlay rests above the housing cavity extending to the edge of the housing without the use of a bezel or frame, thus providing a sleek and low profile appearance. An interior escutcheon may be in communication with the exterior touch panel allowing a user to manually engage and disengage the deadbolt from within a dwelling.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for programming a ferroelectric memory according to various desired and constraining characteristics, such as the retention of the data written to the memory, the endurance of the memory itself, both retention and endurance, power consumption, constraints on available voltage levels, etc. The characteristics of the signal used to write the data to memory (e.g., voltage, power, etc.) are selected to as to satisfy the various desired and constraining characteristics.

Abstract: The present invention provides compositions comprising optimized ratios of Red clover phytoestrogens as determined by a proprietary physiologically based pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic model. The compositions are useful for modulating, preventing or treating postmenopausal or climacteric symptoms, which include but are not limited to bone loss, bone remodeling, hot flushes and vaginal atrophy. The present invention also provides methods for modulating, preventing or treating postmenopausal or climacteric symptoms using the compositions disclosed herein.

Abstract: Technology is disclosed for stack isolation in a storage system including a storage network switch and multiple storage sub-systems (e.g., storage stacks). The storage network switch includes multiple ports and at least one of the ports is configured to dynamically connect to a device that can be either a storage controller device or a storage sub-system. The technology can receive an identification message indicating that a device is connected to a port of a storage network switch, determine based on the identification message at the storage network switch whether the device is a storage controller device or a storage sub-system, and transfer messages between the ports of the storage network switch such that the storage network switch prevents communications between storage sub-systems connected to the storage network switch, but allows communications between the storage sub-systems and storage controller devices connected to the storage network switch.

Abstract: An electronic lock with a latch assembly, an interior assembly and an exterior assembly. The latch assembly includes a bolt movable between an extended position and a retracted position. The interior assembly is configured to move the bolt between the extended position and the retracted position. The exterior assembly includes a touch keypad subassembly configured to detect touches to at least a portion of its surface. The touch keypad subassembly defines an opening through which a wiring harness extends. The opening in the touch keypad subassembly is sealed, at least in part, by an epoxy resin and/or internal structure of the touch keypad subassembly.

Abstract: A monitoring device and method for identifying the identity of users requesting database accesses. The data request from application servers to an application server are monitored and parsed. The SQL statements associated with the data request from the application server are also monitored and parsed, so are the SQL responses from the database server. The SQL responses are sent back to the user as data responses. The data responses are also monitored and parsed. The monitoring device matches the parsed data request with the parsed SQL statements, the parsed SQL responses, and the parsed data responses. By matching the string portion of these parsed data, the monitoring device can then identity the identity of the user making such data base request.

Abstract: Data DNA modeling is used to represent data and the relationship this data has with other data. When an information access request from a user is detected, an asset DNA associated with the user is retrieved and analyzed against the information access request. Using the asset DNA, it can be determined whether the information access request is a normal request or a suspicious request. If the user is unknown, a generic asset DNA can be created and populated with the data from the information access request. The system checks the newly created asset DNA against other similar asset DNA to determine whether there is any abnormality associated with this newly created asset DNA.

Abstract: A privacy lock assembly and method of operation are provided. The lock assembly has a push button offset from the central axis of the lock assembly for locking and unlocking the assembly. The lock assembly includes compression springs to maintain integrated handles in predetermined orientations when the handles are not subject to a load.
