  • Patent number: 11079401
Abstract: Various embodiments are described herein for an apparatus and method for indicating at least one property related to an object. Detection data and optionally input data are received for the at least one property related to the object and at least one light property that corresponds to the at least one property related the object based on the detection signal is determined using a processing unit. A light is then generated and projected to illuminate and/or surround at least a portion of the object, the light being based on the at least one light property to indicate the at least one property related to the object.

  • Publication number: 20210200663
Abstract: An automated system is presented for unit testing an application in a mainframe execution environment. A plurality of stub objects reside in the mainframe execution environment, such that each stub object in the plurality of stub objects represents a different stub type. A command translator table is configured with an entry for each command available for an online transaction processor. Each entry in the command translator table specifies a stub type for the command and includes a listing of possible arguments associated with the given command, such that each possible argument in the listing of possible arguments has a specified category type. A test configurator executes in the mainframe execution environment and is configured to receive and parse a test input file. A setup routine interacts with the test configurator to receive records from the test input file.

  • Publication number: 20210105597
Abstract: Various embodiments describe methods, systems and devices for distributing trigger-based function execution in a mesh network. Various embodiments include detecting a trigger and determining whether the detected trigger matches one of a plurality of network events included in a trigger list accessible to the detecting node. In addition, whether a node associated with the detected trigger is available may be determined in response to determining the detected trigger matches one of the plurality of network events included in the trigger list. The node associated with the detected trigger may be configured to execute application logic for initiating at least one action from the mesh network in response to the detected trigger being detected. A trigger detection indicator associated with the detected trigger may be transmitted in response to determining the node associated with the detected trigger is a node other than the detecting node that is available.

  • Publication number: 20210079460
Abstract: A biochemical analysis system analyses polymers by taking measurements of a polymer from a sensor element comprising a nanopore during translocation of the polymer through the nanopore. When a polymer has partially translocated, the series of measurements is analysed using reference data derived from a reference sequence to provide a measure of similarity. Responsive to the measure of similarity, the sensor element may be selectively operated to eject the polymer and thereby make the nanopore available to receive a further polymer. Where the biochemical analysis system comprises an array of sensor elements and is takes measurements from sensor elements selected in a multiplexed manner, responsive to the measure of similarity, the biochemical analysis system ceases taking measurements from the currently selected sensor element and to starts taking measurements from a newly selected sensor element.

  • Publication number: 20210041279
Abstract: Apparatuses for controlling gas flow are important components for delivering process gases for semiconductor fabrication. These apparatuses for controlling gas flow frequently rely on flow restrictors which can provide a known flow impedance of the process gas. In one embodiment, a flow restrictor is disclosed, the flow restrictor constructed of a plurality of layers, one or more of the layers having a flow passage therein that extends from a first aperture at a first end of the flow restrictor to a second aperture at a second end of the flow restrictor.

  • Publication number: 20200387903
Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for implementing a multi-tier intercommunication module (MTIM) for an automatic teller machine (ATM) to prevent fraudulent and forced transactions are provided. A processor within the MTIM verifies whether an anomaly withdrawal transaction is occurring based on analysis of a user's normal banking behavior. When anomaly transactions are detected, the processor transmits a notification to the user's registered Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) device to verify whether the transaction is fraudulent. Additionally, the MTIM provides a continuous feedback loop of user location data when forced transactions have been triggered. Forced card transactions are allowed completion and the MTIM sends a custom security code (CSC) to the user's registered MFA mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10814480
Abstract: Apparatus and methods that can be used to stabilize the distal end of an arm (and an end effector attached thereto) of an automated extended-reach tool-equipped assembly. Stabilization is provided by three or more stabilizers, each comprising a stationary part and a movable part. Each stationary part has a fixed location relative to the end effector; each movable part is translatably coupled to a respective stationary part and comprises a contactor disposed at a distal end of the movable part. When the stabilizers are actuated, the contactors are translated toward and into contact with the surface of the workpiece and then locked in place to stabilize the distal end of the arm and the end effector. During tool operation, the stabilizers reduce oscillation of the end effector (and all structure fixedly coupled thereto).
