  • Publication number: 20240152881
Abstract: A distributed computing platform for isolating transaction nodes for managing energy post-trade processing. Plural participant computing systems each have a participant node module which executes a participant node on a decentralized computing network executing a smart contract in accordance with a decentralized protocol over a communication network. A reconciling computing system includes a reconciling module, a master database, a reconciling node module, and a reconciling distributed ledger interface module configured as an interface between the reconciling node module and other modules of the reconciling computing system. The reconciling node module is a node on the decentralized computing network. • Patent number: 11691148
Abstract: A microfluidic device in which microfluidic channels are embedded in a culture medium chamber and have open sides. The microfluidic device is patterned with a fluid moved along a hydrophilic surface due to capillary force, and the fluid may be rapidly and uniformly patterned along an inner corner path and a microfluidic channel. In the microfluidic device, the microfluidic channel is connected to facilitate fluid flow with a culture medium through open sides thereof and openings, and thus may provide a cell culture environment in which high gas saturation is maintained. In addition, several microfluidic devices formed on one common substrate are described. Such microfluidic devices may be manufactured of a hydrophilic engineering plastic by injection molding.

  • Patent number: 10905899
Abstract: The invention provides a two-step tapered applicator, which can be used to deliver high-dose-rate vaginal brachytherapy to a female patient's vagina post-hysterectomy. In certain embodiments, once inserted through the female patient's vaginal opening (or introitus), the applicator of the invention causes less physical discomfort to the female patient than currently available applicators. In other embodiments, the applicator is used in a female patient whose vaginal apex is larger in diameter than her vaginal introitus.

  • Patent number: 9672559
Abstract: A user interface for displaying retail search results is disclosed. The system and methods allow users to search for a plurality of retail items while simultaneously viewing a plurality of search results for each of the plurality of retail items. This interface allows users to easily compare the search results for each retail item, and to purchase a plurality of retail items simultaneously. In one example of the present disclosure, users may enter a plurality of retail items into a shopping list. The system may then display multiple results for each item on the shopping list in a carousel-like user interface, so users may view a plurality of results for a plurality of items simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 9576323
Abstract: In a database that is associated with the retailer POS system, inventory is flagged as being FSA-eligible and a retailer POS system is programmed to support FSA debit card auto-adjudication, i.e., the retailer POS system is IIAS certified. The FSA-eligible information that is stored in the retailer POS database is also used to flag for a customer FSA-eligible items presented to the user online, e.g., in an online catalog. When an FSA-eligible item is purchased on-line or at a retailer POS, the FSA debit card information is captured and the purchase transaction is processed by the retailer POS system so the customer has easy access to FSA purchases via either channel.
