  • Publication number: 20190112802
Abstract: Methods for attaching clips to decking. The clip includes a bottom and a removable top insert. The clip has a bottom made from a material that is different than the material used for the top. The clip has a generally T shape in a side view with a central bore passing through the top member and the bottom member to receive a screw or other fastening member, and a plurality of apertures through the top surface of the bottom member that engage the top member. The body of the bottom member has a transverse planar upper member and at least one perpendicularly positioned planar lower member or keel. The deck board fastener can also have a lip that projects upward from the upper surface of the transverse planar member. The lip can be positioned about an exterior edge of the transverse planar member or along the upper surface.

  • Patent number: 10184930
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for long read, label-free, optical nanopore long chain molecule sequencing. In general, the present disclosure describes a novel sequencing technology based on the integration of nanochannels to deliver single long-chain molecules with widely spaced (>wavelength), ˜1-nm aperture “tortuous” nanopores that slow translocation sufficiently to provide massively parallel, single base resolution using optical techniques. A novel, directed self-assembly nanofabrication scheme using simple colloidal nanoparticles is used to form the nanopore arrays atop nanochannels that unfold the long chain molecules. At the surface of the nanoparticle array, strongly localized electromagnetic fields in engineered plasmonic/polaritonic structures allow for single base resolution using optical techniques.

  • Patent number: 10176663
Abstract: The present specification describes a system for automatically preparing medication cartridges for use in a pharmaceutical dispensing system. The system includes a spooler device that winds a strip of medicine pouches around a cylinder in a cartridge frame. When the cartridge has been loaded with the medication strip, the system validates that there is a match between the information on the cartridge cover and the mediation pouches.

  • Patent number: 10113306
Abstract: A clip for attaching decking. The clip includes a bottom and a removable top insert. A first material of the bottom is different than a second material of the top.

  • Publication number: 20180265493
Abstract: This invention provides novel processes for the preparation of compounds such as 3-[(1S,2S)-2-hydroxycyclohexyl]-6-[(6-methylpyridin-3-yl)methyl]benzo[h]-quinazolin-4(3H)-one, salts and derivatives thereof. The compounds synthesized by the processes of the invention are useful for treating Alzheimer's disease and other diseases (e.g., cognitive impairment, schizophrenia, pain disorders, and sleep disorders) mediated by the muscarinic M1 receptor.

  • Publication number: 20180255069
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of providing security for code between a code generator and a compiler. The code generator generates source code. The code generator generates a first checksum of a file that includes the source code. The code generator provides the first checksum to the compiler via a secure channel. The compiler generates a second checksum of the file that includes the source code. The compiler determines whether to compile the source code based at least in part on whether the first checksum and the second checksum are the same. The first checksum and the second checksum being the same indicates that the source code is to be compiled. The first checksum and the second checksum being different indicates that the source code is not to be compiled.

  • Publication number: 20180243336
Abstract: In certain aspects, the present disclosure provides an enzyme inhibitory nanoparticle. The nanoparticle may comprise zinc oxide. The nanoparticle exhibits substantially reversible enzyme inhibition in the presence of an enzyme. In certain aspects, the shape of the nanoparticle may be a nanopyramid or a nanoplate/nanodisc. In other aspects, the present disclosure provides an antimicrobial material comprising a layer-by-layer (LBL) coating comprising a plurality of nanoparticles comprising zinc oxide. Each nanoparticle exhibits antimicrobial activity in the presence of bacteria. LBL coatings of ZnO-NP reduced Staphylococcal biofilm burden by >95%. The disclosure also provides methods of preparing an enzyme inhibitory or antimicrobial nanoparticles comprising zinc oxide.

  • Publication number: 20180219741
Abstract: A throttling system measures current latency and bandwidth of a network connection. Latency and bandwidth may be measured by sending an unthrottled packet train and measuring a rate of receipt of the packet train as well as overall latency for the packet train. A percentage of available bandwidth is calculated according to a function of a previous percentage of available bandwidth and current latency and bandwidth measurements. The percentage of available bandwidth may decrease with increasing latency. The percentage of available bandwidth is calculated every N packets in order to adapt to changing conditions in a network. The rate of packet transmission may be throttled by increasing a period between transmissions of packets in order to use the percentage of available bandwidth.

  • Patent number: 10013481
Abstract: A method of matching a first entity to a second entity by evaluating Boolean expressions includes identifying a set of criteria vertices for a second entity vertex by traversing a graph database in a manner constrained to fact vertices identified for the second entity. The graph database relates fact vertices to the criteria vertices by edges corresponding to Boolean expressions for satisfying criteria for matching first entities to second entities. The method additionally includes selecting one of the first entities based on the criteria vertices of the set. The method further includes matching the first entity to the second entity based on the selection.

  • Publication number: 20180086547
Abstract: The present specification describes a medicine dispensing system for automatically dispensing medication at a predetermined time. The system includes a cartridge that carries a strip of medicine pouches. When the cartridge is dropped into a dispensing unit, it automatically aligns with the dispensing unit without requiring any installation work from the user. The automatic alignment is enabled because of self-aligning features manufactured in the cartridge housing. The cartridge includes a flapper baffle that assists the conveyance of the strip of pouches through the dispensing unit.
