  • Publication number: 20220213463
Abstract: The present invention relates to an Fe—S fusion protein acting as an electron transport chain, a novel carbon monoxide:formate oxidoreductase (CFOR) including the Fe—S fusion protein, novel Thermococcus strain BCF12 transformed with CFOR, and the use thereof. According to the present invention, two different enzymes may be physically linked directly to each other through the Fe—S fusion protein of the present invention, and thus electrons generated from any one enzyme may be transported directly to another enzyme through the Fe—S cluster of the Fe—S fusion protein. Accordingly, a reaction that produces a target substance with high efficiency by directly supplying electrons necessary for the production of the target substance is possible without leakage of electrons generated in any one enzyme. In addition, the present invention has an advantage in that the overall enzyme reaction rate and yield can be dramatically improved using a new electron transport reaction.

  • Publication number: 20220138178
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a hardware accelerator (e.g., a network acceleration engine) for a blockchain machine or node. The hardware accelerator parses packets containing separate components of a block of transactions to generate data to perform a validation process. To avoid the latency that comes with using software, the embodiments herein describe a protocol processor in the hardware accelerator that parses the packets and prepares the data so it can be consumed by downstream components in the accelerator without software intervention. These downstream components can then perform a validation operation to validate one or more transactions before those transactions are committed (i.e., added) to a ledger of a permissioned blockchain.

  • Patent number: 11320365
Abstract: A determination method for lip sticking force of cigarette tipping paper is provided. The artificial saliva is used to clamp the tipping paper and the artificial mouth skin that are bonded between two jigs, respectively. The two jigs move relative to each other. Force changes during the test are collected through a force sensor and a displacement sensor. The maximum debonding force obtained by the test is divided by the sticking area of the tipping paper and the artificial mouth skin to obtain the lip sticking force of the cigarette tipping paper per unit area. The present invention can accurately quantify the sticking force of the cigarette tipping paper to lips, can well avoid subjective factor influence and difference characterization brought by traditional personal sensory smoking evaluation, is more objective, efficient, has good repeatability, high sensitivity and simple operation.

  • Publication number: 20220131704
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a hardware accelerator for a blockchain node. The hardware accelerator is used to perform a validation operation to validate one or more transactions before those transactions are committed to a ledger of a blockchain. The blockchain may include multiple peer-nodes, each of which contains standard software running on a server or container. Instead of validating a block of transactions using software, the hardware accelerator can validate the transactions in a fraction of the time. The peer-node software then gathers the validation results from the hardware accelerator and combines the results with received block data to derive the block which is committed to the stored ledger.
