  • Patent number: 7852085
Abstract: A receiving device for an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) system has multiple receiving coils. In the same imaging acceleration direction, a junction region is formed between adjacent receiving coils. An additional receiving coil is arranged on the junction region. The additional receiving coil covers at least partially a line of strong phase variation in sensitivity at the boundary of said junction region. This receiving device alleviates the problem of poor sensitivity to MRI signals in the junction region in the imaging acceleration direction, so as to improve the imaging quality in the junction region, and thus improving the overall imaging quality.

  • Patent number: 7837968
Abstract: A carbon nanosphere has at least one opening. The carbon nanosphere is obtained by preparing a carbon nanosphere and treating it with an acid to form the opening. The carbon nanosphere with at least one opening has higher utilization of a surface area and electrical conductivity and lower mass transfer resistance than a conventional carbon nanotube, thus allowing for higher current density and cell voltage with a smaller amount of metal catalyst per unit area of a fuel cell electrode.

  • Publication number: 20100283462
Abstract: In a method and system for processing radio frequency signals of a tubular surface coil, the N channels of coil output signals are generated based on M channels of radio frequency signals acquired by M coil units in the tubular surface coil, wherein N is an even number greater than 1 and is less than or equal to M, and the N channels of coil output signals can be divided into N/2 pairs, with the two channels of coil output signals in each of the pairs respectively coming from the coil units located at symmetrical positions of the tubular surface coil. The respective modulus values of the two channels of coil output signals in said each pair of coil output signals are multiplied to obtain N/2 products which are then summed, and the square root of the summed result is computed, so as to generate a lateral cross-sectional image according to the computed result of square root. The signal strength in an imaging area and the uniformity of signal to noise ratio are thereby improved.

  • Patent number: 7806731
Abstract: A strengthened semiconductor die substrate and package are disclosed. The substrate may include contact fingers formed with nonlinear edges. Providing a nonlinear contour to the contact finger edges reduces the mechanical stress exerted on the semiconductor die which would otherwise occur with straight edges to the contact fingers. The substrate may additionally or alternatively include plating traces extending at an angle from the contact fingers. Extending at an angle, at least the ends of the plating traces at the edge of the substrate are covered beneath a lid in which the semiconductor package is encased. Thus, when in use with a host device, contact between the ends of the plating traces beneath the lid and contact pins of the host device is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20100239164
Abstract: A method for reducing spatial noise of images includes the following steps. A target pixel is obtained and an operating block is built accordingly. Pixel values of the target pixel and multiple neighboring pixels in the operating block are operated to obtain a variance corresponding to the operating block. Whether the target pixel is characteristic is judged according to the variance. If the target pixel is not characteristic, the multiple pixels in the operating block are filtered to obtain a modulated pixel value. The pixel value of the target pixel is updated to the modulated pixel value.
