Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for creating a MultiPhotoVideo or MusicPhotoVideo (MPV) file that enables minimization of resources and/or storage capacity required to use the MPV file in a multimedia application environment, and a storage medium having recorded thereon a computer readable program for performing the method. The method includes: generating profilebag elements based on multimedia content; generating unique identification information of assets included in the multimedia content; generating a last uniform resource locator (LastURL) based on universal resource identifiers (URIs) of the assets included in the multimedia content; and creating an MPV file corresponding to the multimedia content using the profilebag elements, the unique identification information of the assets, and the LastURL. Accordingly, the MPV file, which is available to multimedia reproducing devices having limited resources and/or storage capacity, can be provided.

Abstract: A camera-equipped portable terminal facilitating convenient transmission of taken photographs and method therefor are provided. The portable terminal has a display unit for displaying at least one input address, a camera module for taking one or more photographs of target objects, a wireless communication module for transmitting the photographs taken by the camera module to the input address through wireless communication, and a controller. The controller controls address display of the display unit, target-object image display of the camera module through the display unit in response to a photography mode command during display of the input address, a photograph-taking operation of the camera module in response to a photograph-taking command, and photograph transmission of the wireless communication module. As a result, photographs taken for transmission can be rapidly and conveniently transmitted to a destination address.

Such a system can include: a spectroscope to separate light, reflected from a surface of an optical disc, into constituent frequencies thereof; an optical intensity measuring unit to measure intensities of the constituent frequencies, respectively, as a first spectrum of data; and a processor to do at least the following, convert the first spectrum data into a second spectrum of values that exhibits variation as a function wavelength and refractive index, transform the second spectrum using a Fast Fourier Transform, and detect a thickness of one or more of the spacer layer and the cover layer, respectively, based upon the transformed spectrum. The disclosed technologies have advantages for high precisely measuring thickness of an optical disc.

The timing test unit is configured to generate a second oscillation signal using an input clock signal, generate a pulse from the second oscillation signal responsive to a second control signal, and determine whether an operating time violation has occurred based on a comparison of the second oscillation signal and the pulse. Abstract: The present invention relates to a page buffer circuit with a reduced size, and a flash memory device having the page buffer circuit and program operation method thereof. According to the present invention, a page buffer circuit can perform a program operation of a Multi-Level Cell (MLC) using a data verify circuit even without a data compare circuit. Accordingly, an occupation area can be reduced and the size of a flash memory device can also be reduced.

The present invention can secure not only easy insertion of the pipes arranged to cross each other, but also enhancement in a coupling force of the pipes through the use of the tightening bands, resulting in stable and reliable fixation of the pipes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a data scan system and a data scan method using DDR. The data scan system includes an input section receiving data; first and second DDR memories that stores the data by using a page in which the col address increases horizontally; a DDR controller that stores the data in the first and second DDR memories or reads the stored data from the first and second DDR memories; and an output section that outputs the data read by the DDR controller. When reading the data stored in the first and second DDR memory, the DDR controller simultaneously reads at least two columns of data of the page and stores the simultaneously read data in an output buffer.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a LastURI (uniform resource identifier) of a content asset in order to share the content asset based on a multiphoto video (MPV) file in content recorders and/or reproducers having different file systems, and a recording medium storing program for executing the method are provided. The method creates one of an absolute LastURI and a relative LastURI as the LastURI of the content asset according to protocol type information, so that content recorders and/or reproducers using different file systems can easily find and share the content asset based on the MPV file.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of inserting sync patterns of different lengths in modulated data, and a recording medium having sync patterns produced by the method. The sector sync and the frame sync pattern to be inserted in modulated data in accordance with the present invention must satisfy the given (d,k) constraints, have distinctive 0's run the modulated channel data can not have, and be as short as it can. In addition, the frame sync pattern is shorter than the sector sync pattern because the frame sync pattern is more frequently inserted than the sector one. Owing to the present sync patterns, the storage capacity reduction of a recording medium due to necessary insertion of sync patterns can be minimized under a given modulation condition.
