A formatting operation and mastering operation are performed under the condition that control data including the CPI, CPI_Flag and/or CSI is separated from main data. An optical disc device judges whether the optical disc has been illegally copied, with reference to the CPI, CPI_Flag and/or CSI read from the optical disc, and compulsorily stops a data playback operation upon judging that the disc has been illegally copied.

    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a semiconductor memory device and method of operating the same. In case where fail normal word lines of normal word lines from a normal memory block to which fail memory cells are connected is substituted by redundant word lines of a redundant memory block, the redundant word lines to replace the fail normal word lines are set in the redundant memory block. If the fail normal word lines are selected when the device is operated, the fail normal word lines and the redundant word lines are activated at the same time to increase capacitance of a capacitor connected to the sense amplifier. Therefore, it is possible to increase the exactness of a read operation or a refresh operation and improve reliability of a device operation, by increasing a comparable margin of the sense amplifier.

Thus, a high-density disk structured according to the present invention is capable of the signal reproduction resolution beyond the diffraction limit with an efficient reflectivity. Accordingly, data recording density of a high-density disk can be improved greatly.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to method and apparatus of modulating a series of data words into (d,k) constrained sequence in order to record onto a recording medium. The present method generates, for each data word, a number of alternative sequences by combining mutually different digital words with the data word, calculates for each alternative sequence a digital sum value (DSV) and a penalty based on respective consecutive-zeros sections within the sequence and a joining consecutive “zeros” to a previously-selected sequence, and selects one alternative sequence for recording onto a recordable medium based on the calculated DSV and penalties. Owing to the present invention, DC component of sequences to be recorded onto a recording medium is suppressed and stabilization of a reproduction clock is improved through writing more edge information (i.e., “1”s).

The insertion instrument in accordance with the present invention includes a connection member having a connection chip at a first end, a rotating means for rotating and returning the connection member at a predetermined angle. In accordance with the present invention, the insertion instrument can be separated from the prosthetic implant by rotation of only one time after the prosthetic implanted is completely inserted, so that the operation process of implanting the prosthetic implant is easy and safe.
