  • Patent number: 11238457
Abstract: When a user enters a resource provider location with a portable communication device, the portable communication device provides an indication to a transaction processing system that the portable communication device is currently at the resource provider location. At a later time when the user conducts a transaction with a portable transaction device, the fact that the user's portable communication device had been detected at the resource provider a short time ago is taken into account as a positive indicator that the transaction is not fraudulent. By verifying that both the portable communication device and the portable transaction device are present at the resource provider, the risk of approving a fraudulent transaction from a stolen portable transaction device can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20210349229
Abstract: A logging tool for performing well logging activities in a geologic formation has one or more transmitters, one or more receivers, and a tool wave propagating factor which differs from a formation wave propagating factor. The one or more transmitters excite a tool wave and formation wave. The tool wave is reduced by the one or more transmitters transmitting an acoustic wave which causes the tool wave to be reduced. Additionally, or alternatively, the tool wave is reduced by generating an inverse estimate of the tool wave based on waveform data associated with the tool wave and formation wave received by each of the one or more receivers.

  • Patent number: 11143777
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include quadrupole transmitters and methods to determine wave velocities of a downhole formation. In some embodiments, the quadrupole transmitter has a first piezoelectric ring and a second piezoelectric ring that alternatively contracts and expands in opposite radial directions relative to the first piezoelectric ring in response to being simultaneously excited with the first piezoelectric ring. The quadrupole transmitter also includes a covering sleeve surrounding exterior surfaces of the two piezoelectric rings. The quadrupole transmitter further includes a windowed sleeve surrounding the two piezoelectric rings and having a first portion and a second portion adjacent to the first portion. The first portion and the second portion are formed from multiple window sections and adjacent covered sections that are positioned around different sections of the piezoelectric rings to allow transmission of quadrupole acoustic signals when the piezoelectric rings are simultaneously excited.

  • Patent number: 11116230
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for three-dimensional microwave air-jet drying of persimmon slices, comprising steps of grading and cleaning, slicing, microwave heating, steam de-astringency, hot-air reverse primary drying, negative-pressure intermittent secondary drying, cooling and packaging. In the present invention, high-temperature (60-70° C.) high-pressure annularly sprayed citric acid and 40% alcohol vapor (rotating at 360°) are adopted to remove astringency of persimmons, wherein high temperature causes more intense Brownian motion of liquid molecules; high pressure improves permeation and diffusion speed of de-astringency liquid in the persimmon slices; citric acid plays a membrane breaking role on persimmon cell membranes; and 40% alcohol vapor is allowed to rapidly diffuse into cells, so that tannin is polymerized into insoluble gel from a soluble state, thereby achieving a uniform and rapid de-astringency effect.
