  • Patent number: 7496906
Abstract: Methods, systems, and media to test a code segment of a source file are disclosed. Various embodiments machine-render a source code skeleton in response to a selection of the code segment, incorporate the code segment into the source code skeleton to generate a temporary source file, insert a monitoring statement into the temporary source file, and compile the temporary source file into a compiled program to output a result. Embodiments may further include executing the compiled program and outputting the result. In addition, some embodiments also initiate compilation of the temporary source file, attempt to resolve a compilation error, and output the compilation error. Some embodiments terminate execution in response to selection of a cancel button. Further, some embodiments delete the temporary source file. Several embodiments also include a file creator, a code gatherer, a code generator, an adaptive compiler, a processor, and an output device.

  • Publication number: 20080285261
Abstract: The Invention is an apparatus for displaying a medallion in an item of memorabilia. The item of memorabilia defines a cavity. A holder is configured to be contained within the cavity and defines a medallion-receiving opening selectably receiving the medallion. The holder contains an LED lamp oriented generally parallel to the display surface of the medallion. The LED lamp causes the relief of the medallion to cast a shadow on the display surface of the medallion. The lustrous metal of the medallion reflects light from the relief to an observer.

  • Patent number: 7437840
Abstract: The Invention is a memorabilia apparatus. Indicia are imprinted on a medallion using convention minting technology. An ice hockey puck or a model of a tire has a cavity adapted to receive and to support the medallion for display. The cavity of the puck or model of a tire exerts a pre-selected force upon the medallion over a pre-selected area, holding the medallion in place during handling while allowing a collector to release the medallion from the puck or model of the tire. Alternatively, resilient or spring retaining members releasably engage the puck or model of the tire and the medallion.

  • Publication number: 20080216587
Abstract: A flow meter for measuring the volume of fluid flowing through the meter includes an inner cylindrical tube through which the fluid flows and an outer cylindrical tube tending over the inner cylindrical tube. The outer cylindrical tube is radially spaced from the cylindrical inner tube to provide an annular cylindrical space between the inner cylindrical tube and the outer cylindrical tube. A seal between the inner cylindrical tube and the outer cylindrical tube closes the annular cylindrical space adjacent ends of the annular cylindrical space. The inner cylindrical tube further defines at least one opening in a wall of the inner cylindrical tube to balance the fluid pressure in the annular cylindrical space with the pressure in the inner cylindrical tube.

  • Patent number: 7272809
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for implementing high frequency return current paths utilizing decoupling capacitors within electronic packages. Electronic package physical design data are received for identifying a board layout. For each of a plurality of cells in a grid of a set cell size within the identified board layout, a respective number of signal vias are identified. A ratio of signal vias to return current paths is calculated for each of the plurality of cells. Each cell having a calculated ratio greater than a target ratio is identified. One or more decoupling capacitors are selectively added within each of the identified cells to provide high frequency return current paths.

  • Patent number: 7155432
Abstract: A database engine and optimizer framework includes a decoder to identify and process SQL queries or statements that reference a UDF before they are executed. Once such a statement is detected, the decoder determines if the UDF is capable of being merged into an SQL statement and, if so, performs such a merge. In some embodiments, the decoder may not use a pre-cached version of the UDF but, instead, may include a component that locates and retrieves the latest version of the UDF for use when performing the merge. Also, for UDFs that cannot easily be merged into an SQL statement, the decoder may not merge the UDF into an SQL statement but may allow the optimizer and execution engine to retrieve and execute the UDF in the usual manner.

  • Patent number: 6861545
Abstract: Higher trialkylaluminum compounds may be made by forming ?-olefin by oligomerizing ethylene using a transition metal containing catalyst, reacting the ?-olefins formed with a lower trialkylaluminum compound to form higher trialkylaluminum compound(s) These may optionally be oxidized, as with oxygen, to form higher trialkoxyaluminum compound, which in turn may be hydrolyzed to ?-alcohols. In one variation of the process lower ?-olefins and higher (relatively) ?-alcohols may be formed and isolated. Higher trialkylaluminum compounds and ?-alcohols are useful as chemical intermediates, while lower ?-olefins are useful as monomers for polyolefins.
