Abstract: Switching circuits, latches and methods are provided, such as those that may respond to an input signal that transitions from a first binary level to a second binary level. One such switching circuit may have a metastable state that is closer to a first voltage corresponding to the first binary level than it is to a second voltage corresponding to the second binary level. In other embodiments, the metastable state may be dynamically adjustable so that it is at one voltage before the circuit switches and at a different voltage after the circuit switches. As a result, the switching circuit may respond relatively quickly to the input signal transitioning from the first binary level to the second binary level.

Abstract: A display assembly includes a transparent cover piece, a display shroud having a contact structure arranged to face the transparent cover piece, an interface subassembly mounted on the display shroud, an electronics board shroud having a support member and a connection feature, and a biasing member operably engaged between the display shroud and the electronics board shroud. The connection feature mechanically connects the electronics board shroud to the display shroud while permitting axial displacement and rotation therebetween. The biasing member rests on the support member of the electronics board shroud, and the biasing member is configured to urge the contact structure of the display shroud into physical contact with the transparent cover piece. The interface subassembly includes a display circuit for providing a digital display and a touch circuit for providing touch actuation at or near the digital display through the transparent cover piece.

Abstract: A method and system for removing the effect of intersymbol interference (ISI) from a data record indicating times of logic level transitions exhibited by a data signal that has been distorted by ISI exhibited by a system having a particular step response may perform the following acts. The data record may be received, and a transition from within the data may be selected record for removal of ISI. Preceding transitions within the data record are then inspected. A time defect is obtained, based at least in part upon the inspected preceding transitions. Finally, the data record is adjusted, based upon the time defect, to indicate a new time of transition for the selected transition, thereby removing the effect of ISI for the selected transition.
