  • Publication number: 20220060471
Abstract: Method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for verifying location using sound. In some embodiments, location data representing an unverified location of a first electronic device are received. Audio data generated based on sound detected by a sensor of the first electronic device during a predetermined time are received, as well as audio data generated based on trusted sound detected by a sensor of a second electronic device during the predetermined time, wherein the second electronic device is located near the unverified location of the first electronic device, and wherein the trusted sound includes one or more frequencies inaudible to humans (e.g., infrasonic and/or ultrasonic sound). The audio data generated by the first and second electronic devices are analyzed and a similarity score representing a similarity between the respective audio data is generated. The unverified location of the first electronic device may be verified based on the similarity score.

  • Patent number: 11195402
Abstract: A method, a computer program product, and a computer system warn workers of a hazardous condition on a worksite. The method includes determining at least one outcome involving a worker and at least one worksite object based on conditions of the worksite. The method includes predicting whether a select one of the at least one outcome presents a hazardous condition to the worker. As a result of predicting that the select outcome presents the hazardous condition, the method includes transmitting a signal to a device associated with the worker. The signal triggers a warning to be received by the worker where the device is in a proximity of the worker.

  • Patent number: 11123934
Abstract: A method of bonding a first web of material to a second web of material to form a composite material is disclosed herein. First, a first web of material and a second web of material moving in a machine direction is provided. The webs of material pass over a first energy application device extending transverse in the cross-machine direction. The first energy application device includes a primary bonding pattern and a secondary bonding pattern. The primary bonding pattern in combination with the secondary bonding pattern extends continuously across the first energy application device in the cross-machine direction. In addition, a second energy application device is provided. The second energy application device is moved in the cross-machine direction, and thereby extending the second energy application device over the first energy application device and operating the first and second energy application devices in combination to bond a composite web.

  • Patent number: 11052458
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods in which a metal matrix composite (MMC) material is incorporated into a metallic structure during a one-step near-net-shape structural forming process. Various embodiments provide in-situ selective reinforcement processes in which the MMC may be pre-placed on a forming tool in locations that correspond to specific regions in the metallic structure. Various embodiment near-net-shape structural forming processes may then be executed and result in various embodiment metallic structural components with selectively-reinforced regions that provide enhanced mechanical properties in key locations.

  • Publication number: 20210150927
Abstract: A knowledge graph of a user is generated by extracting concepts included in content consumed and knowledge sources and experience identified by the user. Content delivered to the user is monitored in real-time and extracted concepts are compared to concepts of the user's knowledge graph. A user's knowledge gap is determined for a concept extracted from a portion of the content consumed, based on analysis of a knowledge graph of the user. Responsive to determining whether a knowledge gap for the user exists, the one or more processors determine a user's preference of learning style and delivery media; determine a current location and activity of the user; perform a search of information filling the knowledge gap for the user, and deliver the information filling the knowledge gap for the user in a learning style and media formation consistent with the preference of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210023990
Abstract: A state of a driver operating a vehicle based at least on a rest pattern of the driver and a driver safety score and vehicle characteristic associated with the vehicle are determined. A risk of a planned route is received based on environment information. A safety risk for at least one location along the planned route is determined based on the received risk. Based on the safety risk, a use of available driver attention determined based on the state of the driver, possible modification of the planned route and vehicle state may be planned that minimize the safety risk. It may be determined that the driver is approaching a location along the planned route having a safety risk. Responsive to determining that the driver is approaching a location along the planned route having a safety risk, alert may be caused to be sent to the driver.

  • Patent number: 10885445
Abstract: A first cognitive instance receives information about other cognitive instances and from this compiles a cognitive community map that associates individual ones of the other cognitive instances with specific capabilities of said respective other cognitive instances. The first cognitive instance stores that map in a local memory of the first cognitive instance; and when the first cognitive instance executes a cognitive computing program it checks the cognitive community map for at least one of the specific capabilities relevant for executing that program to address/satisfy a user request that caused the program to execute. In various embodiment these cognitive instances share their respective cognitive capabilities via cognitive capability maps, which may be refreshed in their local memories for example by sending a broadcast message. Thus any given cognitive instance can identify cognitive peers with the capabilities most relevant to assist itself in solving a given problem/request.

  • Patent number: 10866884
Abstract: Debugger requests are for debugging a script injected into a web application during a debug session are received. Each of the debugger requests include the same debug session identifier. A different one of the debugger requests is associated with each of the break points set for debugging the script. For each of the debugger requests: a new stateless debugger node is connected with a single stateless target tester node. Stateless debugger nodes and stateless target tester nodes reside inside of the multi-node cloud system. The script is debugged on the same stateless target tester node while the debugging is controlled from a developer computer system that is outside of the multi-node cloud system. After completion of each of the debugger requests: a current stateless debugger node is disconnected, and state stored in the multi-node cloud system used for servicing a current debugger request is destroyed.

  • Patent number: 10858744
Abstract: An electrolytic ozone generator includes an anode with a longitudinal edge, a cathode with a longitudinal edge spaced apart from the cathode, and an isolator. The isolator electrically separates the cathode from the anode and is semi-impermeable. The anode and cathode are impermeable for generating ozone in a flow area fluidly coupling longitudinal edges of the anode and the cathode. Ozone water apparatus, methods of making electrolytic ozone generators, and methods of generating ozone using electrolytic ozone generators are also described.
