  • Publication number: 20190106266
Abstract: The invention relates to a carrier for pharmaceutical compositions, the carrier comprising at least a first and a second portion. Each of the first and second portions comprises at least two cavities for housing pharmaceutical composition, and at least one cover sheet covering said at least two cavities. The cavities of the first and second portions are arranged so that the first and second portions can be placed in an overlapping configuration with the cavities of the first portion positioned in spaces between the cavities of the second portion. At least one of the cavities of the first portion comprises at least one bulge, and at least one of the cavities of the second portion comprises at least one depression adapted to engage with said at least one bulge to form a mutual engagement between the first and second portions. By this engagement, mutual movement of the first and second portions is restricted, so that a rigid structure is produced.

  • Publication number: 20180365572
Abstract: A first cognitive instance receives information about other cognitive instances and from this compiles a cognitive community map that associates individual ones of the other cognitive instances with specific capabilities of said respective other cognitive instances. The first cognitive instance stores that map in a local memory of the first cognitive instance; and when the first cognitive instance executes a cognitive computing program it checks the cognitive community map for at least one of the specific capabilities relevant for executing that program to address/satisfy a user request that caused the program to execute. In various embodiment these cognitive instances share their respective cognitive capabilities via cognitive capability maps, which may be refreshed in their local memories for example by sending a broadcast message. Thus any given cognitive instance can identify cognitive peers with the capabilities most relevant to assist itself in solving a given problem/request.

  • Patent number: 10017302
Abstract: An apparatus and method for coating an end of a stoppered beverage bottle in wax are provided. A cap assembly is positioned over a mouth of the bottle prior to coating the end of the bottle in wax. The cap assembly may facilitate removal of a portion of the wax from the bottle to allow removal of the stopper and dispensing of the beverage. In an implementation, the cap assembly includes a cap portion sized to be received over at least a portion of a bottle mouth and the stopper. A spike protrudes downwardly from the cap portion, and is configured to at least partially pierce a bottle stopper. A tear ring is frangibly attached to the cap portion by one or more regions of mechanical weakening. A pull tab extends outwardly from the tear ring to facilitate frangible separation of the tear ring from the cap portion.

  • Patent number: 9791453
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for utilizing a nanodevice to distinguish molecules with different structure. The molecules translocate through or across a nanochannel filled with a electrolyte solution. An electrical signal through the nanochannel is measured for every translocation event. Inner surfaces of the nanochannel include a functional layer, which is a coating to functionalize the nanochannel, in which the functional layer is configured to interact with predetermined ones of the molecules during translocation events. It is determined that a combination of at least two different molecules is formed based on predetermined ones of the molecules interacting with the functional layer to change the electrical signal and/or change a translocation time for the translocation event.

  • Publication number: 20170193623
Abstract: Methods and systems for predicting injury risk include generating state sequences that precede a hazard event based on information regarding a user's state. A cognitive suite of workplace hygiene and injury predictors (WHIP) is generated based on the state sequences using a processor. The cognitive WHIP predicts a degree of risk correlated with each particular user state sequence. An advantageous relationship between the user and one or more socially connected users is determined. An ameliorative action is triggered when a user enters a high-risk state based on the advantageous relationship to the one or more connected users and proximity of the user to one or more other users.
