    Abstract: Pulling eyes are provided with integrated wiring systems suitable for installing conductors or cables. The pulling eyes may include body portions that define interior cavities that are sized to snugly engage outside portions of the conductors or cables. The body portions are sized to be deformably crimped onto the outside portions of the conductors or cables. The pulling eyes may also include head portions joined to the body portions, with the head portions defining apertures for receiving a strength member for installing the conductors or cables. These apertures place the interior cavities in communication with the exteriors of the pulling eyes.

For example, a thin control channel may carry information that enables ongoing transmissions utilizing a first, relatively long transmission time interval (TTI) to be punctured, and during the punctured portion of the long TTI, a transmission utilizing a second, relatively short TTI may be inserted. This puncturing is enabled by virtue of a thin channel structure wherein a control channel can carry scheduling information, grants, etc., informing receiving devices of the puncturing that is occurring or will occur. The transparent plate has at least one reflective feature in the optical path. The sensor is mounted above the glass plate and is positioned to receive light reflected from the reflective feature. The controller is configured to operate the scan module to scan the light beam across the build plane, receive a signal from the sensor when the light beam impinges upon the reflective feature, and analyze the signal to verify a proper alignment of the light beam to the build plane.

    Abstract: A method for minimizing head seek movement and improving I/O performance of a hard disk drive is disclosed. In one embodiment, such a method includes logically dividing storage space of a hard disk drive into storage areas of substantially equal size. The method monitors a temperature of each of the storage areas. The temperature indicates how frequently data in a corresponding storage area is accessed. The method swaps data in storage areas of the hard disk drive based on temperature. These swaps involve moving hotter data toward outer tracks of the disk drive and colder data toward inner tracks of the disk drive. A corresponding system and computer program product are also disclosed.
