  • Publication number: 20180111576
Abstract: A vehicle seat restraint system includes a control system and a second-row restraint system. The control system receives a first-row seat value and a second-row seat value from seat sensors. The control system generates relative position data for a first-row seat and a second-row seat based upon the first-row seat value and the second-row seat value. The control system selects a load limiter setting value using a multidimensional load limiter model based upon body impact values as a function of load limiter setting values and the relative position data, a selected load limiter setting value outside a value avoidance zone for the body impact values. The second-row restraint system is configured by the control system with the selected load limiter setting value. The control system may also determine an occupant weight value and select the load limiter setting value using the occupant weight value.

  • Publication number: 20180009562
Abstract: This invention relates to application of labels from a supply of labels which are defined in sheet material and in which adjacent labels are joined together by a line of weakening to form a continuous label supply. The label sheet material is provided with a layer of adhesive which contacts with a backing layer to form the label supply. The leading label is provided with a leading edge portion detached from the backing layer from application at an application point to an article and the article and label feed movement are controlled such that the remainder of the label can be detached from the backing layer, and the line of weakening broken effectively and accurately and without the need for the sheet material of the label supply and/or backing layer to have a thickness to provide the level of rigidity or stiffness of the material which is conventionally required, thereby reducing material usage and wastage.

  • Publication number: 20170153885
Abstract: Presented herein are zero-downtime upgrade techniques for cloud connector/extension software components. In particular, an on-premises node that runs a first version of a cloud connector software component, receives a second version of the cloud connector software component from a cloud-based software platform. The second version of the cloud connector software component is installed and initialized at the on-premises node such that the first and second versions of the cloud connector software component run in parallel at the on-premises node. Management of the subscriptions of the on-premises services to the cloud-based software platform is then transferred from the first version of the cloud connector software component to the second version of the cloud connector software component.

  • Publication number: 20170155550
Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for orchestrating an update of an on-premises cloud connector from a cloud-based software platform. In particular, a first version of a first cloud connector is running in an active-active configuration across first and second nodes in an on-premises cluster. The first cloud connector is associated with user subscriptions to a first on-premises application and the first cloud connector connects the first on-premises application to a first cloud service hosted at a cloud-based software platform application. The first cloud connector is updated from the first version to a second version on each of the first and second nodes in a sequential manner. The update of the first cloud connector from the first version to the second version is initiated at the cloud-based software platform.
