  • Patent number: 9449197
Abstract: A mobile device operating system pools any available entropy. The resulting entropy pool is stored in device memory. When storing entropy in memory, preferably memory addresses are randomly allocated to prevent an attacker from capturing entropy that might have already been used to create a random number. The stored entropy pool provides a readily-available entropy source for any entropy required by the operating system or device applications. Then, when a cryptographic application requests a true random number, the operating system checks to determine whether the pool has available entropy and, if so, a portion of the entropy is provided to enable generation (e.g., by a TRNG) of a true random number that, in turn, may then be used for some cryptographic operation. After providing the entropy, the operating system clears the address locations that were used to provide it so that another entity cannot re-use the entropy.

  • Patent number: 9451646
Abstract: Multiple mobile cellular network (MCN) communication systems can be networked together to form a network of MCN communication systems (NOM). Each MCN communication system within the NOM can operate as an independent cellular network to provide communications between user equipment within a covered area. When a UE in one MCN of the NOM moves into a different MCN of the NOM, the corresponding MCN communication systems can handover the UE. The UE can also be handed over between MCN communication systems when the MCN communication systems move.

  • Patent number: 9422267
Abstract: The present invention provides fused pyrimidine compounds of the general Formula (I): or a salt thereof, wherein the variables are as defined in the specification. Fused pyrimidine compounds of the general Formula (I) are provided as kinase inhibitors, such as multi-kinase inhibitors. In one aspect, fused pyrimidine compounds of the general Formula (I) are provided as IGF-IR inhibitors. The compounds may be used in a method of treating cancer. Pharmaceutical compositions containing a fused pyrimidine compounds of the general Formula (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier are also provided, as are kits containing a fused pyrimidine compound of the general Formula (I) or salt thereof and instructions for use, e.g., in a method of treating cancer.

  • Publication number: 20160212600
Abstract: A method and system are described for servicing a second line service (“SLS”) based communication request originating from a subscriber's telecommunications device (“TD”) even if the call signal does not include sufficient information to identify the phone number from which the subscriber initiated the call. The method involves associating the SLS phone number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a special relationship number.

  • Publication number: 20160212614
Abstract: A method for routing calls between a third party telecommunications device (“TD”) and a subscriber TD associated with a primary service and a second line service (“SLS”) involves associating the SLS number of the subscriber, the primary number of the subscriber and the primary number of a third party via a common relationship number. Calls directed from a third party to the SLS number of a subscriber are routed to an SLS platform and redirected to the subscriber TD. Calls directed from the subscriber TD to the third party use the relationship number to route the call to the SLS platform. The combination of the primary service number and the relationship number identifies the third party number for call completion. Calls can be directed to and from an SLS number of a subscriber TD using a combination of protocols such as ISUP, CAP and SIP.

  • Publication number: 20160028887
Abstract: A method and system for providing a second line service (“SLS”) feature to a subscriber using a telecommunications device (“TD”) which includes receiving at a switch on the network of the subscriber's primary service provider a communication made up of a trigger and a directory number. When the communication is received at the primary service provider's switch, the switch parses the communication and detects the trigger. Once the switch has received the communication, the switch additionally transmits a query message to a SLS platform that manages the SLS feature. As a result of the switch's query message transmission, the switch receives a reply to the query message from the SLS platform. Based at least in part on the reply to the query message, the switch can route the communication such that the switch connects one or multiple voice channel circuit between the subscriber's TD and the terminating TD.

  • Patent number: 9245265
Abstract: Methods of providing payment for use of a medical device on a per-treatment session basis are disclosed. The methods include downloading treatment credits to the device linked to a customer account and activating the medical device when the number of available treatment credits is greater the one. The number of treatment credits downloaded to the device is based on at least one of a credit limit provided to the customer account and a number of prepaid treatment credits purchased by the customer. In other embodiments, the medical device monitors the number of treatment sessions performed and activates the device only when a customer's account is current.

  • Publication number: 20160021248
Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for populating a local second line service (“SLS”) database in a telecommunications device (“TD”). The local SLS database is for use by an SLS application that provides a second line service to the user of the TD. To populate the local SLS database, historical data associated with prior use of the TD is mined for relevant information. Relevant information may include, for example, a primary phone number associated with other contact data. Relevant information is then used to populate the local SLS database. The local SLS database is then updated with a relationship number(s) in association with the relevant information. The relationship number enables the SLS application to direct a telecommunication to the primary number via a remote SLS platform.

  • Patent number: 9223819
Abstract: A system and method for linking parent and child data records during data migration is disclosed. One embodiment comprises sequentially receiving a plurality of data records from an arbitrary source of records without running a query on the source of records, generating a destination store of records that contains the plurality of data records, and locating any records in the destination store of records that has a dangling key. In this way, the embodiment may correct dangling keys to generate a destination store of records with referential integrity.

  • Patent number: 9220392
Abstract: A filter for use in a washing appliance is disclosed. The filter includes an inlet, an outlet, a filter chamber and a mesh strainer placed between the inlet and outlet. The mesh strainer strains water or liquid flowing into the filter as the water flows into the inlet and out of the outlet. The mesh strainer filters out particulate matter from the flow through the filter. The liquid flowing into the filter flows across the mesh to clean the filter and dislodge at least some of the particulate matter trapped in the mesh. The filter chamber includes at least one baffle within it. The baffle divides the filter chamber into an upper portion and lower portion. The particulate matter washed off collects in the lower portion of the filter chamber due to rotational flows created in the filter due to the filter chamber boundaries and the baffles.
