  • Publication number: 20230135743
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments directed toward applying a magnetic resistance to a human powered vehicle during movement. In various embodiments, magnets are placed within receptacles of magnet holding brackets and are exposed to one or more conducting discs that are configured to spin with the wheels of the human powered vehicle. The magnetic field of the magnets that intersect the conducting discs can generate a force that opposes the movement of the human powered vehicle. In various embodiments, the magnet holding brackets are adjustable based on desired wattage values.

  • Publication number: 20230111047
Abstract: Persistent storage contains a training dataset and a test dataset, each with units of text labelled from a plurality of categories. A machine learning model has been trained with the training dataset to classify input units of text into the plurality of categories. One or more processors are configured to: read the training dataset or the test dataset; determine distributional properties of the training dataset or the test dataset; determine, using the machine learning model, saliency maps for tokens in the training dataset or the test dataset; perturb, by way of token insertion, token deletion, or token replacement, the training dataset or the test dataset into an expanded dataset; obtain, using the machine learning model, classifications into the plurality of categories for the expanded dataset; and based on the distributional properties, the saliency maps, and the classifications, identify causes of failure for the machine learning model.

  • Publication number: 20220319324
Abstract: A collision warning system for a host vehicle includes a wireless communication system and an electronic controller. The wireless communication system is configured to receive data transmissions from remote vehicles. The electronic controller is configured to receive data transmissions from a first remote vehicle. A travel path is determined based on positional information included in the received data transmissions from the first remote vehicle, and whether the host vehicle is on the travel path is determined. Whether the second remote vehicle is on the travel path of the host vehicle is determined based on data transmissions received from the second remote vehicle. Generation of a warning is prevented upon determining that the second remote vehicle is on the travel path of the host vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11458256
Abstract: An infusion device includes a housing with an interior chamber sized and configured to hold at least a flange and plunger of a syringe, a trigger held by the housing, and a lever in communication with the trigger and including an upwardly extending cam with a cam path having an upper end. The cam is in communication with the flange of the syringe. In response to actuation of the trigger to dispense fluid from the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels upward above the syringe and longitudinally toward a dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger of the syringe in a first direction to dispense fluid from the syringe. To refill fluid into the syringe, the upper end of the cam travels downward and longitudinally away from the dispensing end of the syringe to linearly translate the plunger in a second direction to intake fluid.

  • Patent number: 11186060
Abstract: Systems and processes of cutting and drilling in a target substrate uses a laser (e.g., a pulsed laser) and an optical system to generate a line focus of the laser beam within the target substrate, such as a glass substrate sheet, are provided. The laser cutting and drilling system and process creates holes or defects that, in certain embodiments, extend the full depth of the glass sheet with each individual laser pulse, and allows the laser system to cut and separate the target substrate into any desired contour by creating a series of perforations that form a contour or desired part shape. Since a glass substrate sheet is brittle, cracking will then follow the perforated contour, allowing the glass substrate sheet to separate into any required shape defined by the perforations.

  • Patent number: 10929667
Abstract: An augmented reality optical system comprises a waveguide structure that includes a waveguide layer supported by a substrate. An input grating and an output grating reside within the waveguide layer and are laterally spaced apart. Input light from a display is made incident upon the input grating. The input light is coupled into the waveguide layer and travels therein as multiple guided modes to the output grating. The input and output gratings provide phase matching so that the guided modes are coupled out of the waveguide layer by the output grating continuously along the output grating to form output light. Meantime, light from a scene is transmitted perpendicularly through the output grating so that the output light and the light from the scene are combined by the eye of a user to form an augmented reality image.
