  • Publication number: 20090021129
Abstract: A self-closing mechanism for drawer slides includes a stationary housing, a slider, and a latch. The slider is configured to slide relative to the housing, and the latch is configured to translate along with the slider and to rotate within the slider to lock and unlock the slider at predetermined locations. The housing may be coupled to a cabinet member, with a drawer member adapted to engage the latch as the drawer is opened and/or closed. In embodiments of the invention, the self-closing mechanism may include a damper mechanism, such as, e.g., a cylindrical damper or a rotary gear damper.

  • Publication number: 20080014720
Abstract: The present invention discloses a Street Smart breaking technique for breaking a wafer into individual dies with minimal damage to the devices on the wafer surface by applying forces only on the street areas of the wafer. The disclosed wafer breaking mechanism comprises a breaking bar creating a fulcrum against an anvil mechanism pressing only to the streets. A force is applied to the breaking bar with the scribed line acting as a stress concentrator. The applied force is increased until the wafer breaks, which it does commencing at the scribed line and propagating straight down through the wafer until the parts of the wafer on both sides of the breaker bar separate from each other.

  • Publication number: 20070048972
Abstract: An apparatus and method for breaking a semiconductor wafer along scribe lines to separate individual die. A scribe line of the wafer is aligned with a straight, elongated pyramid-shaped edge of a precision bending bar, and a compressive force is applied to the surface of the wafer by a compressive member to bend the wafer over the edge and break the wafer along the scribe line. In a first embodiment the compressive member comprises an elongated bar-shaped member that extends across the wafer and contacts a scribe line along its length. The compressive member may comprise a compliant material, as of urethane, having a uniform Shore A durometer of the order of 70-100 and uniform resiliency. In an alternative embodiment, the compressive member may comprise a compressive roller, also of urethane, having a similar uniform durometer.

  • Publication number: 20040116778
Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods for performing psychological assessment directed at quantifying the patient's gross cultural assimilation factor. The present invention provides evaluation systems and methods that determines what life experiences a person has had, the impact of those experiences, and what behavioral outcomes resulted from the individual “making sense” of their experiences. The assessment is based on Dynamic Pattern Theory. This theory is defined using the key terms: 1. “dynamic”—any force that causes movement, and 2. “pattern”—a systematic action for negotiating life observed in behavior.

  • Patent number: 6244269
Abstract: A two piece pliable, edible, flavored mouthpiece to be worn by one consenting adult performing oral sexual activities such as cunnilingus and fellatio, and the like, on another consenting adult. The mouthpiece can be formed from pliable flavored edible materials such as but not limited to starch jellied candies, gelatin candy(i.e. Gummy Bears TM), starch gelatin, licorice, chewing gum, and the like. The mouth piece includes a top U-shaped single piece set for fitting about the front top and partial top side teeth of the wearer, and a bottom U-shaped single piece set for fitting about the front bottom and partial bottom side teeth of the wearer. The wearer clenching down customizes the fit of the mouthpiece therein and changes the sharp hard edges of the teeth to be soft and rounded. Each piece uses more material adjacent to between the front teeth, tapering to less material toward the back of the side teeth.

  • Patent number: 5974986
Abstract: There is provided an inter-plant arm assembly for selectively mounting a predetermined number of additional planter units to a multi-row planter having a plurality of existing planter units. The inter-plant arm facilitates quick and efficient varying of row widths to plant different crops. The inter-plant arm includes a front arm that attaches to the planter adjacent an existing planter unit and extends at a predetermined angle of incline and a rear arm that carries at least one additional planter unit. A coupling between the front and rear arms allows for quick attachment and detachment of any desired additional planter units. The coupling defines a receiver that accepts an end portion of the rear arm and includes a pin and lock to selectively secure that end portion of the rear arm in the receiver.

  • Patent number: 5705327
Abstract: Color negative photographic films having red, green and blue color sensitive records, wherein the ratio of the toe area contrast to the mid-scale contrast for each of the red, green and blue color records is less than or equal to 0.80, and either at least two color records having a toe-area contrast less than or equal to 0.42 or a mid-scale contrast less than or equal to 0.55, or the film having a speed rating of ISO 200 or greater. The mid-scale contrast for a color record is defined as the slope of a straight line connecting a point C and and a point D on the characteristic curve of Status M density versus log Exposure for the color record, where points C and D are located by defining a point A on the characteristic curve at a density level 0.1 above minimum density, a point B is located on the characteristic curve at an exposure value +1.0 Log Exposure beyond point A, and points C and D are located at exposure values -0.45 log Exposure and +0.45 log Exposure with respect to point B, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5674665
Abstract: A color negative photographic film wherein on the curve of density versus log E for each color sensitive record: (1) a straight line, which connects the point at density Dmin+0.1 and the point at 1.5log E above the exposure required for density Dmin+0.2, has a mathematical slope .ltoreq. 0.50; and (2) the difference in log E is .gtoreq.1.7 between the point 0.9log E above the exposure required for density Dmin+0.2 and the point where the density difference is 0.1 between the curve and the straight line which results from a linear regression of the three density points at exposures 0.3log E, 0.9log E, and 1.5log E above the exposure required for the density Dmin+0.2; and (3) the difference in log E is .gtoreq.1.20 between the exposure needed for density Dmin+0.1 and the point that corresponds to the exposure, in lux-seconds, of 9.2/(Film Speed). The exposure of the foregoing gray card is a typical normal exposure based on the film speed rating (i.e. the film is not overexposed or underexposed).

  • Patent number: 4070906
Abstract: A modified horizontal strain indicator. Two spaced cap assemblies joined by a tensioned music wire are mounted on different roof bolts within a mine. One of the assemblies is the anchor cap assembly and the other assembly of the pair is the measuring cap assembly. The anchor assembly consists of two tubular sections vertically mounted upon each other and adjustably rotatable with respect to each other. The lower section thereof has an adjustable wire tensioning device to hold one end of the wire. Similarly the measuring cap assembly has two tubular sections which are vertically mounted on each other and also adjustably rotatable with respect to each other. Its lower section has a plunger biasing mechanism to tension the wire. Both upper sections of the anchor and measuring assembly may use set screws to vertically mount the invention to a mine roof on their respective rock bolts. A removable gage can be used to read the wire's horizontal displacement when attached to the plunger biasing mechanism.
