    Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods that search videos and other media content to identify items, objects, faces, or other entities within the media content. Detectors identify objects within media content by, for instance, detecting a predetermined set of visual features corresponding to the objects. Detectors configured to identify an object can be trained using a machine learned model (e.g., a convolutional neural network) as applied to a set of example media content items that include the object. The systems provide user interfaces that allow users to review search results, pinpoint relevant portions of media content items where the identified objects are determined to be present, review detector performance and retrain detectors, providing search result feedback, and/or reviewing video monitoring results and analytics.

    Abstract: Techniques of inpainting video content include training a neural network to perform an inpainting operation on a video using only content from that video. For example, upon receiving video content including a sequence of initial frames, a computer generates a sequence of inputs corresponding to at least some of the sequence of initial frames and each input including, for example, a uniform noise map. The computer then generates a convolutional neural network (CNN) using the sequence of input as the initial layer. The parameters of the CNN are adjusted according to a cost function, which has components including a flow generation loss component and a consistency loss component. The CNN then outputs, on a final layer, estimated image values in a sequence of final frames.

    Abstract: A Node-B sends a polling message to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). The WTRU sends an uplink synchronization burst in response to the polling message without contention. The Node-B estimates an uplink timing shift based on the synchronization burst and sends an uplink timing adjustment command to the WTRU. The WTRU then adjusts uplink timing based on the uplink timing adjustment command. Alternatively, the Node-B may send a scheduling message for uplink synchronization to the WTRU. The WTRU may send a synchronization burst based on the scheduling message. Alternatively, the WTRU may perform contention-based uplink synchronization after receiving a synchronization request from the Node-B. The WTRU may enter an idle state instead of performing a handover to a new cell when the WTRU moves to the new cell. A discontinuous reception (DRX) interval for the WTRU may be set based on activity of the WTRU.
