  • Publication number: 20230070720
Abstract: An enhanced claims settlement apparatus may process insurance claims rapidly and accurately. The apparatus may first receive a notification of loss associated with an insured item (e.g., car, boat, truck, home, etc.). The apparatus may then apply various algorithms for using sensors to identify, analyze, and estimate the cost of damage associated with the insured item. The sensors that are a part of the enhanced claims settlement server may include cameras, tactile sensors, electromagnetic sensors, etc. that may communicate data to a processor associated with the server. • Patent number: 11434883
Abstract: A method for operating a variable capacity drive circuit of a compressor includes operating first and second four-quadrant switches in a first state in which the first four-quadrant switch is closed and the second four-quadrant switch is open such that a voltage seen by the motor is equal to an AC line voltage. The method also includes operating the first and second four-quadrant switches in a second state where the first four-quadrant switch is open and the second four-quadrant switch is closed such that the voltage seen by the motor is to zero. Further, the method includes providing a positive firing angle and a negative firing angle for defining when the first and second four-quadrant switches are operated in each of the first and second states. Moreover, the method also includes transitioning between the first and second states using the firing angles at a switching frequency determined by the AC line voltage frequency.

  • Publication number: 20210329310
Abstract: Descriptive information for content items (in an image or other media data) is associated as metadata using methods, devices and systems of the present disclosure. Target devices associated with content items comprise beacons for transmitting beacon data to a capture device. The capture device may comprise a camera, for example, and a communication module to communicate with a beacon. In response to the capture of an image, descriptive information is associated with image data as metadata. The descriptive information may be obtained from the target device or, using the beacon data, from another communication device. One target device may be associated with more than one content item. For example, a target device may be a mobile phone and content items may be clothing, accessories or any styling associated with a mobile phone user. The images with metadata may be shared and the descriptive information displayed to others using the metadata.

  • Publication number: 20210095135
Abstract: The invention describes new designs of commercial inkjet or flexographic web and sheet fed presses with pre-coating prior to printing which may upgrade the quality of the substrates and render them printable by all printing technologies including inkjet and digital. Also described are curable water-based coatings, inkjet and flexographic inks and overprint varnishes which may be radiation cured at high speed without the need for external applied heat to remove water. When used as coatings or primers, the compositions of the invention may create a surface on cellulosic substrates, polymeric films and some metal surfaces which are suitable for printing on by most printing methods including but not limited to inkjet, wet and dry toner systems, lithographic, gravure, flexographic and 4-D printing. The primer/coatings may also add up to 35% tensile strength to lightweight “thin” papers.
