The method includes receiving a search from a user, identifying a product category based on the search, presenting to the user a general ordering screen based on the identified product category, selecting and activating a speech recognition grammar tuned for the identified product category, recognizing a first received user utterance with the activated tuned grammar to identify a vendor who offers items in the identified product category, recognizing a second received user utterance with the activated tuned grammar to identify a specific item from the identified vendor, and placing an order for the specific item with the identified vendor for the user. In one aspect, the method further offers to sell the user additional items ancillary to the specific item.

    Abstract: A method to enforce compliance with multiple-person-control rules in a secure-computing system to protect against the insider threat. The method can be patched onto an existing secure computer systems to provide granular control of any type of resource request. Existing user-user access controls are configured to prevent users from gaining unfettered access. Tasks requiring higher privilege, such as system administration, are performed under the present method of multiple-person controls, using digital signatures of resource requests to provide a separate layer of protection. A script running with sufficient privilege executes resource requests requiring privilege elevation, but only after validating a first digital signature signed by a requester and validating one or more additional digital signatures signed by reviewers. To detect playback attacks, a nonce can be included in the signed message and compared with nonce values from previously processed resource requests.

    Abstract: Autoscrubbers are capable of being operated in a manual (e.g. walk-behind) mode and an autonomous (operator free) mode and capable of switching between such operational modes. Apparatus and methods for steering such autoscrubbers use steering torque mechanisms to apply steering torques independently to left and right drive wheels. Steering systems for autonomous operation may be retrofit onto existing walk-behind autoscrubbers to implement this functionality. The autonomous control capability may not detract appreciably from an operator's ability to use the autoscrubber in a manual (walk-behind) mode.

The method includes obtaining data related to a scheduled origination and a scheduled destination for each of a set of passengers scheduled on the flights, generating a passenger connection network of connections between the scheduled origination and the scheduled destination for a subset of the set of passengers, applying at least one criterion to the passenger connection network and rescheduling at least one connecting flight based on the criteria. The system and controller solves a network flow problem to reschedule a subset of connecting flights to have a delayed projected departure time. Resulting output can include the set of delayed flights along with modified projected departure times, a set of flight cancellations and a set of passengers with missed connections.
