  • Patent number: 10546972
Abstract: Methods for fabricating semiconductor devices incorporating an activated p-(Al,In)GaN layer include exposing a p-(Al,In)GaN layer to a gaseous composition of H2 and/or NH3 under conditions that would otherwise passivate the p-(Al,In)GaN layer. The methods do not include subjecting the p-(Al,In)GaN layer to a separate activation step in a low hydrogen or hydrogen-free environment. The methods can be used to fabricate buried activated n/p-(Al,In)GaN tunnel junctions, which can be incorporated into electronic devices.

  • Patent number: 10545934
Abstract: A dataset management system (“system”) reduces the amount of data to be stored for future analyses. The system determines a sampling rate of the data based on a required level of accuracy, and samples the data at the determined sampling rate. Initially, all data transactions (“full dataset”) and the sampled data (“sampled dataset”) are logged and stored. Based upon a trigger condition, e.g., after a specified period, the full dataset and the sampled dataset are analyzed separately and the analysis results are compared. If the comparison is sufficiently similar (i.e., the sampling produces a sufficiently accurate set of data or a variance between the analysis results of the datasets is within a specified threshold), the system discontinues full data logging and stores only the sampled dataset. Further, the full dataset is deleted. The sampling thus reduces the required data volume significantly, thereby minimizing consumption of the storage space.

  • Patent number: 10535103
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to detecting fraudulent insurance claims. According to certain aspects, a central monitoring server may receive and examine data detected by at least one unmanned vehicle and generate an estimated insurance claim for a loss event. The central monitoring server may then receive an actual insurance claim relating to the loss event, and may compare the estimated insurance claim to the actual insurance claim to identify potential buildup included in the actual insurance claim. If buildup is detected, the central monitoring server may then process the actual insurance claim accordingly based upon the potential buildup. As a result, claim monies may be paid to insureds that more accurately reflect actual losses resulting from the loss event, and insurance cost savings may be ultimately passed onto typical insurance customers.

  • Publication number: 20200007532
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to automating authentication decisions for a multi-factor authentication scheme based on computer learning. In disclosed embodiments, a mobile device receives a first request corresponding to a factor in a first multi-factor authentication procedure. Based on user input approving or denying the first request, the mobile device sends a response to the first request and stores values of multiple parameters associated with the first request. The mobile device receives a second request corresponding to a factor in a second multi-factor authentication procedure where the second request is for authentication for a different account than the first request. The mobile device automatically generates an approval response to the second request based on performing a computer learning process on inputs that include values of multiple parameters for the second request and the stored values of the multiple parameters associated with the first request.

  • Publication number: 20190379700
Abstract: The technology disclosed includes a system to group security alerts generated in a computer network and prioritize grouped security alerts for analysis. The system includes graphing entities in the computer network as entities connected by one or more edges. Native scores for pending alerts are assigned to nodes or to edges between the nodes. A connection type is assigned to each edge and weights are assigned to edges representing relationship strength between the nodes. The technology disclosed includes traversing the graph starting at starting nodes and propagating native scores through and to neighboring nodes connected by the edges. Aggregate score for a visited node is calculated by accumulating propagated scores at visited nodes with their respective native scores. The technology disclosed forms clusters of connected nodes in the graph that have a respective aggregate score above a selected threshold. The clusters are ranking and prioritized for analysis.

  • Publication number: 20190366231
Abstract: A system and method for extracting and separating botanical oils and compounds from botanical material without the use of solvents, having a vaporizing section which is further coupled to a centrifugal electrostatic precipitator for collection and segregation. The vaporizing section receives the botanical material through which a temperature-controlled inert gas is passed to evaporate specific vaporization temperature oils or compounds from the botanical material. The extracted vapor passes to the centrifugal electrostatic precipitator where the oil or compound is reduced back to the liquid state and is collected and segregated. The oils having the lower vapor temperature are collected first and the remaining oils are collected by specific and progressive vaporization temperature control.

  • Publication number: 20190364034
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to authenticating a second mobile device for participation in a multi-factor authentication process. In disclosed embodiments, a server generates an authentication decision, based on communicating with a first mobile device as a factor in the multi-factor authentication process. After receiving a request from the first mobile device to authorize participation of a second mobile device in the multi-factor authentication process, the server may generate a secret and transmit the secret to the first mobile device. The server may receive information from the second mobile device, based on the second mobile device capturing an image of a display by the first mobile device, where the display is based on the transmitted secret. In some embodiments, the server then verifies the content of the information using the secret and verifies that the information is received within a determined time interval from transmitting the secret.

The saddle has an external locking groove or recess. The tulip has a locking projection. The locking projection is positioned into the external locking groove or recess and holds the saddle in a pre-loaded unlocked state ready to be pushed onto a head of an implanted bone screw. Upon receiving the head of the bone screw, the saddle can be moved distally relative to the tulip to a locked state by moving the locking groove or recess distally past the locking projection to where the proximal end of the saddle is past abutting the locking projection.
