The methods consist of applying a magnetic torque to functionalized magnetic beads in a fluid solution resting on a functionalized substrate. The solution is comprised of one of the following: intact viral particles, viral proteins, RNA, or DNA. The presence and/or quantity of the aforementioned molecules or viruses is detected by measuring the translational velocity of the beads. The methods here described can detect multiple different species simultaneously using a multiplexed assay. Also, the systems here included are able to process multiple samples simultaneously.

In an implementation, a plurality of prepreg sheets are advanced from a plurality of material supply creels into the processing zone by a first conveyor and a second conveyor turning in opposite directions. Within the processing zone, a compressive pressure is applied to the prepreg sheets by first pressure plates attached to first conveyor and second pressure plates attached to the second conveyor. A thermoplastic within the prepreg sheets is melted within the processing zone by a heater to consolidate the prepreg sheets into a consolidated laminate.

By distributing certain applications, such as latency-sensitive applications of a higher order of complexity, to an edge node, and particularly a quantum edge node, latency may be reduced and complex application code may be processed more quicky using quantum computations. For applications to be processed using quantum processing, the machine learning component may further identify qubits for the quantum processing and define containers based on the qubits for deployment by the quantum computing device.
