    Abstract: This application provides a gesture recognition method, and relates to the field of man-machine interaction technologies. The method includes: extracting M images from a first video segment in a video stream; performing gesture recognition on the M images by using a deep learning algorithm, to obtain a gesture recognition result corresponding to the first video segment; and performing result combination on gesture recognition results of N consecutive video segments including the first video segment, to obtain a combined gesture recognition result. In the foregoing recognition process, a gesture in the video stream does not need to be segmented or tracked, but phase actions are recognized by using a deep learning algorithm with a relatively fast calculation speed, and then the phase actions are combined, so as to improve a gesture recognition speed, and reduce a gesture recognition delay.

The stress signal includes a plurality of sequences, each having a ramp-up stage and a ramp-down stage. The stress signal has a second voltage level and a third voltage level.

    Abstract: Introduced here are approaches for identifying the optimal send time for messages by accounting for hidden confounders, such as the content of those messages, delivery channel, etc. These approaches use a causal inference framework to discover and then remove the impact of hidden confounders. These approaches may be employed by a marketing and analytics platform (or simply “marketing platform”) that may be used to design, implement, or review digital marketing campaigns. The marketing platform can consider the send time as a treatment and then employ machine learning (ML) models that consider the send time, features of the recipient, and hidden confounders to produce a ranked series of send times with the effect of the hidden confounders marginalized. Approaches to performing offline evaluations that mimic A/B tests using data related to existing field experiments are also introduced here.
