  • Publication number: 20060159373
Abstract: In a rolling element accommodating belt having a rolling element accommodating section for individually accommodating a plurality of balls at predetermined intervals while the plurality of balls are rolling and circulating in an infinite circulating passage of linear guide, the rolling element accommodating belt accommodates the balls in the rolling element accommodating section and aligns the balls in the direction of aligning balls in the infinite circulating passage. The rolling element accommodating section includes: a restraint accommodating section for restricting the accommodated balls in all directions; and a no-restraint accommodating section in which the accommodated balls are not restrained at least in one direction.

  • Publication number: 20050179902
Abstract: An illumination system comprises a light source unit, a condenser lens, and a lens for constructing a telecentric optical system, and projects measuring light onto a specimen to be measured, from an angle tilted by a prescribed angle relative to the normal to the specimen. A light receiving system is an optical system comprising the lens, a light receiving lens, and a light receiving sensor and, of the reflected light produced by reflection of the measuring light, the light receiving system receives reflected light rays reflected in a direction whose angle to the normal to the measuring surface is 0°. In this way, the telecentric optical system is constructed by placing the lens in the light paths of the illumination system and the light receiving system; with this configuration, the projection angle of the measuring light to the curved specimen and the receiving angle of the reflected light from the curved specimen, respectively, can be made the same within the curved surface of the specimen.

  • Patent number: 6886252
Abstract: A rolling guide apparatus comprises a first slide member and second slide member. The first slide member includes a pair of wing portions and a connecting portion connecting the wing portions. First raceway grooves are formed on the wing portions, individually. Second raceway grooves are formed on the second slide member. Rolling elements are held under a pre-load between the raceway grooves. A residual compression stress region is created on the surface region of the first slide member. A worked portion is formed on the connecting portion. The worked portion serves to adjust the pre-load on the rolling elements by regulating the residual compression stress region by working to deform the connecting portion.
