  • Publication number: 20060260122
Abstract: A component-embedded printed wiring board (PWB) is disclosed. This PWB includes (a) a fluid-resin embedding section formed at place corresponding to electronic components such that the embedding section covers the electronic components, (b) a resin flow-speed accelerator placed in parallel with a top face of a circuit board and surrounding the embedding section, and (c) bonding resin placed at least between the accelerator and the circuit board. The fluid resin embedding section is filled up with the same resin as the bonding resin. This structure allows the accelerator to compress the resin with a pressure applied to the PWB, so that the resin tends to flow along the circuit board. As a result, the fluid-resin embedding section is thoroughly filled up with the resin without leaving any airs, and the reliable PWB is thus obtainable.

  • Patent number: 7131048
Abstract: When a non-error-resilient application decoder receives a data stream containing syntax error due to transmission errors, such as packet losses in wireless communication, an application decoder cannot usually continue decoding the stream data anymore. According to the present invention, the data stream containing syntax error along with error correction data generated by error-detectable transmission system is inputted into an error correction part before inputted into the application decoder. The error correction part detects the error position in the data stream using the error detection data, corrects the syntax error in the stream data, and generates a stream data which is possible to be decoded by the application decoder. As a result, the data stream containing syntax error can continue decoding or be decoded in better quality by a non-error-resilient application decoder, without adding any error correcting function in the existing application decoder.

  • Patent number: 7074225
Abstract: To facilitate positioning of a drill bit and alleviate burden to a user, a medical drill machine including a drive shaft gripping a drill bit, a casing constituted of X-ray transparent material and capable of housing the drive shaft, and a force transferring mechanism for transferring rotational force to the drive shaft is provided. In this medical drill machine, a first guide and a second guide constituted of X-ray opaque material are fixed at given positions along an axial direction of the drive shaft in the casing. Both guides are arranged coaxially with the axis of the drive shaft, and are formed in mutually different shapes. A slant direction of the drill bit can be recognized from any relative misalignment of the mutually different shapes of the guides included in an X-ray image along the ideal axial line.

  • Publication number: 20060083955
Abstract: When the mobile type information terminal is transferred between an operating state and a standby state, self diagnosis is performed. The fuel cell charges the secondary cells with a normal current of fixed value I1, and when the output voltage of the boost DC/DC converter (when PG=L), the charge current is reduced to the fixed value and aging is performed. After aging is performed for 60 seconds, charging is performed once again performed at the normal fixed value I1. This type of operation is repeated 30 times. During aging, when the output voltage from the boost DC/DC converter is reduced (when PG=L), aging is stopped and after 20 seconds aging is performed again, and this operation is done 10 times. The mobile type information terminal can perform self diagnosis and retrial of regeneration without the user being aware, in which secondary batteries and a fuel cell are loaded.

  • Patent number: 6968059
Abstract: The conventional multimedia communication terminals require the implementation of a camera unit for video input and a video encoder for generating encoded video streams. This configuration is expensive and power-consuming, so that the life of battery for driving the transmitter will be short, or otherwise a battery of larger capacity will be required, resulting in a larger size terminal, with less portability. In accordance with the present invention, the video input and encoding process may be implemented in a video information generating apparatus separated apart from the transmitter. The video or audio and video bitstream generated by the video information generating apparatus will be retrieved by the transmitter, or stored once in a server and then forwarded to a receiver.

  • Publication number: 20050233122
Abstract: The invention presents a manufacturing method of laminated substrate capable of realizing small size of portable electronic appliances. Prepreg 141 is a thermosetting resin which holds a plate form in first temperature range, has a thermal fluidity in second temperature range, and is cured in third temperature range, and integrating process (118) includes softening (120) of heating prepreg (141) to second temperature range, and softening the resin impregnated in prepreg (141), forced flowing (122) of compressing prepreg (141) before prepreg (141) comes to third temperature range, and forcing the resin to flow into space and gap formed among semiconductor (105), resistor (106), and substrate (101), and hardening (123) of heating prepreg (141) to third temperature range. As a result, without using intermediate material, space and gap formed among semiconductor (105), resistor (106), and substrate (101) can be securely filled with resin.

  • Publication number: 20050180595
Abstract: It is desirable to distribute a most recently inputted image of merchandise in a shop without showing customers visiting a shop, or to distribute an image showing how crowded a shop is without infringing on the privacy of visitors to the ship. This is achieved by separating areas showing moving objects and areas showing no moving objects of an image and synthesizing an image showing stationary objects only by replacing the moving object area with the corresponding area of an earlier inputted image showing stationary objects only, or by processing the moving object area of an image, for example, by applying a mosaic to such an area, and synthesizing the synthesized image showing stationary objects only. The image in which the moving object area has been processed enables the distribution of an image showing how crowded a shop is without infringing on the privacy of visitors.

  • Publication number: 20050168695
Abstract: A vehicular visual assistance system includes: a retro-reflective surface formed on an inside face of a pillar that is in a position obstructing the view of a vehicle driver seated on a driver's seat within a vehicle compartment; a camera mounted on the vehicle outside the vehicle compartment for taking an image outward from the pillar in a direction that is substantially the same as the line of vision of the vehicle driver on the driver's seat; and a projector for projecting in real time the image taken by the camera toward the retro-reflective surface of the pillar. The projector is fixedly disposed within the vehicle compartment at a position close to the eyes of the vehicle driver on the driver's seat. Thus, it is possible to eliminate a blind spot due to the pillar, thereby enhancing safety of driving.

  • Publication number: 20050117312
Abstract: A laminated circuit board with electronic components buried therein comprises a substrate on which a land disposed on one main surface thereof is connected and fixed by solder to an integrated circuit (or the like). A sheet is laminated on the upper surface of the substrate. A filling portion by fluid resin is formed by clearance at the outer periphery of the integrated circuit (or the like). The sheet maintains its shape by woven or non-woven cloth having a hole in which the integrated circuit (or the like) is buried. The woven or non-woven cloth is impregnated with resin having heat fluidity and is thermally compressed. Thus, the electrical and mechanical connections between the laminated circuit board and electronic component can be enhanced in reliability.

  • Publication number: 20040202109
Abstract: A radio line is easily influenced in its nature by attenuation or reflection of electromagnetic wave or the like and surrounding environment. Due to this fact, a variation of the data transfer speed frequently occurs at the time of image streaming to become a hindrance of reproduction of image at the receiving terminal. The distribution server is provided with means for multiplexing information indicating the transmission start time for the image data and means for switching an image bit rate in response to a request from the receiving terminal. The receiving terminal is provided with means for using information indicating a transmission start time for the image data, monitoring the receiving bit rate and informing the request for transmission of the most-suitable image bit rate in response to its result.
