  • Patent number: 5279413
Abstract: The container for flat articles, especially coins, which is part of a storage system for magnetic tape cassettes, in a motor vehicle, comprises a housing open on one side, a slider member insertable in the open side of the housing against a spring force and a locking device for locking the slider member in an inserted position. To provide a particularly reliable way of holding coins of different sizes so that they do not rattle when the container is moved, the slider member has a movable compartment floor which, as the slider member is pushed into the housing, is pressed by spring elements underlying it against an upper housing wall. The upper housing wall can be provided with foam strips and the compartment floor can be corrugated and provided with a fleece to better hold coins without rattling.

  • Patent number: 4993884
Abstract: Method of applying a layer of air-sprayed concrete onto a surface, wherein a pumpable and sprayable mixture of air-sprayable concrete is prepared from cement, aggregates, optional additives, and water. A given mass flow of the mixture of air-spray concrete is sprayed by means of a concrete feed pump through a concrete feed line to a spraying apparatus with a device for the introduction of propelling air under a feed pressure of several bars. The propelling air is charged with synthetic silica exhibiting a BET surface of at least 25 m.sup.2 /g. The synthetic silica is added with the propelling air into the mass flow of the mixture of air-spray concrete in such an amount that the applied air-spray concrete experiences a spontaneous temperature elevation of a few degrees Kelvin immediately after application. A spraying apparatus for the method is also shown.

  • Patent number: 4883927
Abstract: The contactors for a pair of switchgears are coupled via a blocking body in such a way that upon activation of one switchgear the other switchgear, which acts upon the blocking body in a sense opposite to that of the first switchgear is blcoked in its activation motion. To this end, each slide that is guided in a guide housing is rigidly connected with a tappet in the direction of motion via the collar of a collar screw which screwed into the slide. Each of the lobes of the heart-shaped blocking body are essentially rigidly connected with one of the tappets via dogs in the direction of motion.

  • Patent number: 4774584
Abstract: The primary winding of a high-voltage transformer is periodically connected to an operating voltage source at the television line scanning frequency. The secondary winding is subdivided into several component windings which are connected to each other through diodes. A further diode provides the output for the high voltage. A somewhat similar circuit with interposed diodes can provide a center tap and full-wave rectification. A control voltage derived by voltage division from the high voltage is supplied to regulating means for holding the high voltage constant by controlling the width of the driving pulses for the semiconductor switch or by directly controlling the operating voltage connected to the transformer through the semiconductor switch.

  • Patent number: 4701243
Abstract: A method of cooling and dedusting coke after leaving the coke dry cooling system comprises directing the coke at a temperature of approximately 150.degree. to 200.degree. C. into an immersion tank which has a liquid temperature of approximately 100.degree. C., thereafter conveying the coke out of the immersion tank at a selected variable speed so as to free it of fine dust. The water content of the coke after leaving the immersion tank and after an adequate evaporation time is controlled by the speed of the conveyor which is located in the immersion tank and the water content is advantageously kept below 5%, preferably from 0 to 3%. The immersion tank comprises a closed housing overlying a box-shaped tank with a continuously revolving chain conveyor located so as to extend through the tank at its upper reach for conveying the coke into the tank and which has a lower return reach which is directed outside of the tank below the tank itself.
