  • Publication number: 20100302297
Abstract: The invention prevents inconveniences from being caused by ejection failure and unintended mixing of different colors. To this end, the invention performs preliminary ejection of ink after a wiping action to sweep mist adhering to a face of a printing head, in which an ejection opening is formed. Moreover, the amount of ink to be wastefully consumed by the preliminary ejection after the wiping is reduced. To this end, the number of preliminary ejections is regulated. The degree of adherence of mist to the ejection-opening-formed face depends on the amount of printing (the number of printed sheets, the number of ink ejections for printing, or the like). So, at the time of the preliminary ejection after the wiping, the number of ink ejections in the preliminary ejection is regulated in accordance with the amount of printing that has been done since the last wiping action.

  • Publication number: 20100214353
Abstract: Suitable preliminary discharge conditions are set for a recording head using reaction liquid in bidirectional recording. While the recording head makes a reciprocating motion and scans a recording medium, a preliminary discharge of the reaction liquid is executed after recording on the recording medium from discharge ports on the rear side in a direction in which the recording head travels and a preliminary discharge of ink is executed when a preliminary discharge of the reaction liquid is not executed.

  • Publication number: 20100156973
Abstract: The present invention has an object to provide an inkjet printing apparatus that can realize both high quality image formation and improvement of a device life caused by the reduction of a mist amount of a processing liquid. The present invention is provided with a control unit that can independently control an ink ejection condition in an ink ejection unit and a processing-liquid ejection condition in a processing-liquid ejection unit. The control unit controls the ejection condition in each ejection unit so that the mist amount of the processing liquid ejected from the processing-liquid eject unit is smaller than that of the ink ejected from the ink eject unit.

  • Publication number: 20100156978
Abstract: The present invention relates to a print apparatus for performing a print by a scan of a print head with heaters generating thermal energy for ejecting ink. A temperature of the print head is detected before the scan of the print head, and when the detected temperature exceeds a threshold temperature, the print head is waited. Information relating to the cumulative number of drives of the heater in the print head is acquired and based upon this information, the threshold temperature is changed to a lower temperature as the cumulative number of the drives is the larger. An excessive temperature rise of the head is restricted and also a throughput reduction is reduced as much as possible.

  • Patent number: 7633243
Abstract: In a headlamp luminance controlling device, a CPU 21 first decides a luminance factor D based on a state of each switch 10 to switch 12 and a signal from a sensor 13. The CPU 21 determines an initial value of a PWM duty ratio S from the luminance factor D with a load current Ap as a default value (rated current A0). The CPU 21 starts the initial driving of a headlamp HL using the duty ratio S. The CPU 21 then determines the luminance factor D based on the state of each switch 10 to switch 12 and the signal from the sensor 13. Next, the CPU 21 determines the PWM duty ratio S based on the luminance factor D and the load current Ap detected by the headlamp current detector 23. The CPU 21 drives the headlamp HL using the PWM duty ratio S.

  • Patent number: 7522697
Abstract: The present invention is to easily associate X-ray projection data and scanning table z-direction coordinate information with each other. Using set parameters of the operations of a scanning gantry and a scanning table, the association of the X-ray projection data and scanning table z-direction coordinate information with each other is executed. Thereafter, image reconstruction is carried out based on the X-ray projection data to obtain a tomographic image. The operation set parameters are stored as part of the X-ray projection data. Alternatively, they are collectively stored even in the case of files separate from the X-ray projection data.
