  • Publication number: 20060285904
Abstract: A sheet supplying device, which supplies a sheet to an image forming section, has a sheet feeding roller, a sheet stacking section, and a guiding member. The sheet feeding roller sends sheets out one-by-one. The sheet stacking section can be stacked with plural sheets and pushes a sheet against the sheet feeding roller. The guiding member is able to move between a guiding position and a withdrawn position. At the guiding position, at a time of double-sided printing, the guiding member re-supplies to the image forming section an inverted sheet which is sent-in by a sheet re-supplying section. At the withdrawn position, the guiding member is moved toward the sheet feeding roller and feeding of the sheet of the sheet stacking section is possible.

  • Patent number: 7087151
Abstract: A hydrogen sensor which may be employed in an overcharge/overdischarge detector for a battery and a hydrogen leakage detector for a fuel cell is provided. The hydrogen sensor includes a sensor element and a diffused resistor member. The gas to be measured passes through the diffused resistor member and reaches the sensor element. The sensor element outputs a signal indicative of the concentration of hydrogen contained in the gas as a function of a decrease in concentration of oxygen contained in the gas arising from reaction of the hydrogen on the oxygen. The diffused resistor member is so designed that speeds of diffusion of the hydrogen and the oxygen when passing through the diffused resistor member are different from each other for increasing the sensitivity of measurement of the concentration of hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 7052400
Abstract: An annular support ring 32 is fitted onto the outer periphery of each trunnion 22. This support ring 32 and the roller 34 are unitized via a plurality of needle rollers 36 to constitute a roller assembly capable of relative rotations therebetween. In longitudinal section, each trunnion 22 has an outer periphery of straight shape, parallel to the axis of the trunnion 22. In cross section, the trunnion 22 has a generally ellipse shape with the major axis orthogonal to the axis of the joint. The inner periphery of each support ring 32 is arcuate and convex in section. This combines with the general elliptic cross sections of the trunnions 22 and the provision of predetermined clearances between the trunnions 22 and the support rings 32, to allow the support rings 32 to move along the axial directions of the trunnions 22 as well as make tilting movements with respect to the trunnions 22.

  • Publication number: 20060022265
Abstract: A semiconductor device realizes a high electrostatic discharge withstanding capability and a high surge withstanding capability within the narrow chip area of a lateral MOSFET used in integrated intelligent switching devices, double-integration-type signal input and transfer IC's, and combined power IC's. The semiconductor device includes a vertical bipolar transistor in which a base is electrically connected to an emitter and a collector, and a lateral MOSFET including a drain electrode connected to a surface electrode. The vertical bipolar transistor absorbs electrostatic discharge or surge energy when a high electrostatic discharge voltage or a high surge voltage is applied and limits the electrostatic discharge voltage or the surge voltage to be lower than the breakdown voltage of the lateral MOSFET.

  • Publication number: 20050273618
Abstract: Contents encrypted by content encryption keys AER1, AER34 and content decryption keys ADR1, ADR34 encrypted by encryption keys BE4, BE6, BE7 are recorded on recording media 301, 302. The encryption keys BE4, BE6, BE7 differ among playback regions 1 to 4 preset to control the permission and inhibition of content playback. Content playback regions can be limited by using only the encryption keys of regions where playback is permitted. Even if a key is leaked out, the other playback regions are not affected because the encryption keys differ among playback regions and therefore the copyright protection function is increased.

  • Publication number: 20050145975
Abstract: A semiconductor device is configured to prevent destruction of elements and/or miss-operation of the circuit by parasitic effects produced by parasitic transistors when a MOSFET of a bridge circuit is formed on a single chip. A Schottky junction is formed by providing an anode electrode in an n well region where a source region, a drain region, and a p well region of a lateral MOSFET. A Schottky barrier diode constituting a majority carrier device is connected in parallel with a PN junction capable of being forward-biased so that the PN junction is not forward-biased so that minority carriers are not generated, and thereby suppressing parasitic effects.

  • Publication number: 20040059242
Abstract: To accurately measure the muscle mass, body-fat ratio and/or other information of the subject, the human body is divided into nine segments including the trunk, right and left forearms, right and left upper arms, right and left thigh, and right and left crura. Four distal voltage-measuring points Pv are determined at the wrists and ankles, and four proximal voltage-measuring points Pv are determined at the elbows and knees. Four current-carrying electrodes and four measuring electrodes are used. First, the measuring electrodes are attached to distal points, and the impedances of four limbs and the trunk are measured. Then, the measuring electrodes are moved to proximal points, and the impedances of four limbs and the trunk are measured. From the measurement result, the measurement value is calculated for each segment.

  • Patent number: 6673167
Abstract: The power transmission shaft 12 is made by applying induction hardening to carbon steel with hardening ratio in a range from 0.25 to 0.50. For the carbon steel, one containing 0.39 to 0.49% of C, 0.4 to 1.5% of Si, 0.4 to 1.0% of Mn, 0.025% or less S, 0.02% or less P and 0.01 to 0.1% of Al by weight as the basic components, with the rest comprising Fe and inevitable impurities is used. This makes it possible to achieve higher strength and lighter weight of the power transmission shaft.
