  • Publication number: 20020092856
Abstract: The invention provides a reserve tank for engine coolant formed by a blow molding method in which an external surface of the reserve tank is colored simultaneously with blow molding process and thus painting is unnecessary, and a straddle-type all terrain vehicle equipped with the reserve tank. The method comprises the steps of placing a thermoplastic tube, called a “parison”, between halves of an open mold, closing the mold halves, blowing the parison to expand the parison to the cavities of the mold halves, and cooling the parison to set the material, thereby forming the reserve tank. The method further comprises the steps of placing a thermoplastic film with a color which is different from that of the parison so that it covers at least one of the cavities before closing the molds, and expanding the thermoplastic film to the cavities along with the parison so that the film sticks thereto.

  • Publication number: 20020075249
Abstract: An image display device includes two data signal line drive circuits and two scan signal line drive circuits configured differently from each other. Different data signal line drive circuits and scan signal line drive circuit are compatible with different display formats. A display can be produced in the most suitable display format, and power consumption also can be reduced, by switch operating drive circuits according to the kind of input video and environmental conditions. Further, an image can be written over another image by writing video signals to signal lines with a time lag using a plurality of drive circuits; therefore, a superimposed display can be produced without externally processing the video signals. Thus, both a satisfactory image display and low power consumption can be achieved in an image display device.

  • Patent number: 6401857
Abstract: The swing arm device is divided into an arm body and a rear housing body. The arm body has a front end pivot shaft, a drive shaft case, a leg portion and a brake case provided behind the drive shaft case and is an integral aluminum casting. The rear housing body has a gear case, a left case portion and a rear axle case and is an integral aluminum casting. The dividing plane is almost perpendicular to the shaft axis of a drive shaft. The arm body and the rear housing body are separatably fastened together with a bolt. Therefore, in the swing arm device, a small number of parts are required, a welding work takes less labor and time, a necessary rigidity can easily be kept and an assembling work can easily be carried out.
