  • Patent number: 7837515
Abstract: The combined type connector includes a base connector housing and a detachable connector housing. The base connector housing includes a first main body, a boss groove provided on a first outer surface of the first main body, a first guide part provided on the first outer surface; and a first stopping part provided on the first outer surface. The detachable connector housing includes a second main body, a boss provided on a second outer surface of the second main body, a second guide part provided on the second outer surface and a second stopping part provided on the second outer surface. The base connector housing and the detachable connector housing are connected by engaging the boss with the boss groove and pivoting the detachable connector housing about the boss from a first position to a second position so that the first guide part slides along the second guide part and the first stopping part and the second stopping part are engaged so as to stop the detachable connector pivoting at the second position.

  • Patent number: 7828583
Abstract: A connector including a first connector accommodating a male terminal, a second connector accommodating a female terminal, and a movable aligner which supports a tip of the male terminal and is movable from a provisional position to a completed position according to the insertion and desertion of the second connector relative to the first connector. At the provisional position, a pushing projection pushes the arm toward the inner wall so that the arm deforms and the regulating projection is in the recess portion, and the movable aligner supports the tip of the first terminal so as to align with the second terminal during a movement between the provisional position to the completed position, the pushing projection is engaged with the slit; and at the completed position, the first and the second terminals are connected. Thus the movable aligner precisely align the male terminal with the female terminal.

  • Patent number: 7563135
Abstract: A connector 1 includes a connector housing 2, and a retainer 3. The retainer 3 includes lances 6 which are inserted into respective terminal receiving spaces 21 through respective opening portions 28 to be retainingly engaged respectively with metal terminals 4, and a lance abutment portion 8 which abuts against the lances 6 to hold the lances 6 in retainingly-engaged relation to the respective metal terminals 4. The amount of insertion of the lance 6 in the terminal receiving space 21 before the lance is retainingly engaged with the metal terminal 4 is equal to the amount of insertion of the lance 6 in the terminal receiving space 21 when the lance is retainingly engaged with the metal terminal 4. When the metal terminal 4 is kept half inserted, the lance 6 is located outwardly of the terminal receiving space 21, so that the lance abutment portion 8 is held in a lifted condition, from which it is detected that and the metal terminal 4 is half inserted in the terminal receiving space 21.

  • Patent number: 7556539
Abstract: When each metal terminal 3 is completely inserted into a housing 4, the metal terminal 3 is prevented from movement in forward, upward, downward, left and right directions. The metal terminal 3 is also primarily retained by a terminal retaining member 5, and is prevented from movement in a rearward direction. Then, when the terminal retaining member 5 is pushed up, and is shifted from a provisionally-retained condition to a completely-retained condition, only the terminal retaining member 5 is moved while the metal terminals 3 remain as they are. At this time, the amount of engagement of a primarily-retained portion of the metal terminal is reduced, whereas a secondarily-retaining portion of the terminal retaining member 5 is engaged with the metal terminal 3 in accordance with an upward movement of the terminal retaining member 3, thereby securing a necessary and sufficient retaining force.

  • Patent number: 7517246
Abstract: A connector includes a connector housing, a mat seal, an inner cover, and an outer cover. A connector housing includes terminal-receiving chambers for receiving female terminals. The inner cover catches the mat seal with the connector housing and attaches to the connector housing. The outer cover covers the connector housing. The inner and outer covers are connected to each other by a connecting part and attached to the connector housing. A pressing part of a jig for continuity test presses the inner cover into the connector housing. Then, the connecting part is broken and the inner cover 15 is attached to the connector housing.
