Abstract: A complete locking confirming device for an electric connector comprising a first connector having a first connector housing, a second connector having a second connector housing capable of being coupled with the first connector housing, and locking means provided in combination with the first and second connector housings to lock the electric connector when the first and second connectors are coupled completely. The complete locking confirming device comprises a complete locking detecting slider mounted on either of the first connector housing and the second connector housing so as to be positioned at a complete locking indicating position only when the first and second connectors are coupled completely and the electric connector is locked by the locking means.

Abstract: A perfect coupling confirming mechanism for an electric connector having a first connector housing and a second connector housing, employing two electrical contactors, among those accommodated in contactor chambers formed in the second connector housing, as check contactors for the confirmation of the perfect coupling of the first and second connector housings. The first connector housing is provided with a principal locking arm provided with a first and second locking projections. A locking slider and a short-circuiting member are provided movably in the second connector housing. When the first and second connector housings are coupled perfectly, the first locking projection and the second connector housing are engaged to lock the first and second connector housings to each other in a primary locked state.

Abstract: A coupling confirming mechanism for an electric connector having a first and second connector housings, capable of confirming the proper coupling of the first and second connector housings and double-locking the first and second connector housings. The coupling confirming mechanism comprises: a locking arm having a locking projection formed on the first connector housing; a locking lever pivotally joined at its rear end to the first connector housing and provided at its front end with an insulating projection, and at its front end with locking fingers; locking projections formed on the second connector housing; a break contact formed of a pair of short-circuiting terminals disposed in a short-circuiting terminal chamber formed in the second connector housing.

Abstract: An apparatus for confirming the fitting of an electric connector in which a male connector housing is fitted in a hood of a female connector housing so as to connect together metal terminals received respectively in the terminal receiving chambers of the male and female connector housings. A lock lever, having a holder spring, is pivotally connected at one end to a first side portion of the hood. A locking plate, having a provisional locking groove and a complete locking groove, is formed on a second side portion of the hood. Both the provisional and complete locking grooves are engageable with the holder spring. A fitting confirmation projection is formed on a reverse surface of the lock lever, and interferes with the male connector housing when the fitting of the male connector housing is imperfect, thereby preventing the engagement between the holder spring and the complete locking groove.

Abstract: A double locking device in a connector. Male and female connector housings are first engaged with each other to accomplish a first-step lock. Both housings further have auxiliary lock means therein: the female housing has a base plate pivotably mounted thereon, a cover plate perpendicularly formed to the base plate to cover the rear surface of the male housing when engaged with said female housing and a locking frame formed on said cover plate whereas the male housing has a catch pawl formed therein to receive the locking frame to accomplish a second-step lock.

Abstract: A waterproof plug for a connector comprising a rubber plug having an outer tube portion capable of fitting to the inner wall of a connector housing formed in the outer periphery of one side of a tubular portion which provides an electric wire inserting hole, and either a stabilizing tube having rigidity mounted between the tubular portion and the outer tube portion of said rubber plug or a stabilizing member having ridigity with supporting columns projected on the opposite sides of an elliptical base plate portion which is provided with an electric wire inserting hole in the central portion thereof.

Abstract: A locking device for a connector assembly wherein a completely fitted or locked condition of connectors thereof can be confirmed clearly at a glance by way of an electric circuit. One of the connectors to be fitted with each other by the above locking device is provided with a locking plate for movement between a locking position and a releasing position, a holding element for holding the locking plate at the locking position, and also a means for confirming the connector fitted condition comprising a short-circuiting element and a pair of short-circuiting terminals so as to be connected with each other for assembling electric connection between the short-circuiting terminals.
