Abstract: Disclosed herein is the use of manganese, iron, cobalt, or nickel complexes containing tridentate pyridine di-imine ligands as hydrosilylation catalysts. These complexes are effective for efficiently catalyzing hydrosilylation reactions, as well as offering improved selectivity and yield over existing catalyst systems.

Abstract: An air intake system for an off-road vehicle includes an intake conduit upstream of a segmented debris removal device and a mail filter element. A baffle is disposed in the intake conduit and extends into the incoming air stream to avoid swirl in the air stream and provide more even air flow distribution into the segments of the segmented debris removal device. The baffle may have two generally parallel elements spaced from one another to reduce mixing of air regions separated by the baffle. The baffle reduces or eliminates vortices that adversely affect air flow into the segmented debris removal device.

Abstract: A method is presented for selecting an HTTP authentication scheme at a client computer. A request message is sent from the client computer to a server computer to access information on the server computer. In response, the client computer receives a response message from the server computer. The response message includes an HTTP header that includes a first scheme identifier, indicating a first HTTP authentication scheme and a second scheme identifier, indicating a second HTTP authentication scheme. If the client computer does not support the second HTTP authentication scheme, the client computer uses the first HTTP authentication scheme when sending another HTTP message to the server computer. If the client computer supports the second HTTP authentication scheme, the client computer uses the second HTTP authentication scheme when sending another HTTP message to the server computer.

Abstract: A disposable cartridge for use in a hemodialysis machine has a blood flow path for carrying a volume of blood to be treated in a dialyser and a dialysate flow path, isolated from the blood flow path, for delivering a flow of dislysate solution through the dialyser. The cartridge is received in an engine section of the machine. The engine section has first and second platens which close when the cartridge is inserted to retain the cartridge. Actuators and sensors arranged on the second platen control operation of the cartridge.

The pitch changing device includes a first orbiting member orbiting about a first axis and rotating about a second axis and a second orbiting member orbiting about a third axis and rotating about a fourth axis. The first orbiting member and second orbiting member form a nip and the nip receives a stream of signatures. The first and second orbiting members vary a velocity of the signatures so as to alter the initial pitch. A folder and a method for changing a pitch between consecutive signatures is also provided.

Abstract: Fetal behavior is monitored by receiving ECG data from a set of electrodes attached to a material body. A waveform pre-processor identifies a succession of fetal ECG complex waveforms within the received data and a waveform processor determines differences in the processor succession of fetal ECG complex waveforms over time. An event logger determines from the determined differences a number of fetal movements during the period of time. Fetal spatial presentation and/or position within the uterus may also be determined from fetal ECG data acquired from a plurality of electrodes positioned on the maternal abdomen in a predetermined configuration. A number of fetal ECG complex waveforms are identified within the data, and each of the waveforms is compared with a set of predetermined fetal ECG complex templates ascribed to the predetermined electrode configuration to determine a template that best matches the identified fetal ECG waveforms.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that include measuring power within at least one part of a wireless frequency band. These systems and methods also include calculating a variance, a mean, and a mean-to-variance ratio based upon the power measured in at least one part of the wireless frequency band using a processor. In addition, these systems and methods include comparing the mean, variance, and mean-to-variance ratio to known thresholds and determining if jamming is present within the at least one part of the wireless frequency band.
