  • Patent number: 6219768
Abstract: A storage device, a data processing system and a data writing and readout method in which the area management information can be distributed and stored without affecting the transmission efficiency and in which compatibility with pre-existing storage devices can be maintained despite changes in the cell structure. A flash memory 21, a conversion unit 25 and a controller 26 are provided. The converting unit 25 converts the input area management information into an area management flag corresponding to the area management information and appended redundant data. The controller 6 causes the area management flag to be stored in the flash memory 21. The converting unit 25 converts the area management flag read out from the flash memory 21 to the original area management information. The controller 26 outputs this area management information.

  • Patent number: 5791993
Abstract: A communication system for performing communications via a relay between a host apparatus and a plurality of terminals whose communication speed is lower than that of the host apparatus. In this system, data from a partial terminal is transmitted at a low speed in real time to the host apparatus during a partial period, while data from the other terminals is stored in the relay during the same period, and thereafter the data stored in the relay during the preceding period is transmitted at a high speed to the host apparatus, thereby shortening the restriction time of the host apparatus in regard to the communication.

  • Patent number: 5429312
Abstract: A side feed type of roller mill having a housing, a rotating table provided in the housing, and a feed inlet chute extending obliquely downwardly through an upper side wall of the housing and having a lower end exposed over the rotating table. The feed inlet chute includes a cylindrical chute body and a liner mounted inside the chute body. The liner is formed of a flexible elastic material, so that the inner surface of the liner is irregularly deformed as accompanying peristalsis and vibration by both the own weight and the gliding/falling forces of a feed material passing through the chute and the elastic restoring force of the liner itself. Accordingly, a deposit layer of the feed material formed on the inner surface of the liner can soon be autonomously removed by the deformation of the liner without interruption of the operation of the roller mill. Thus, stable and efficient pulverization can be continuously performed.

  • Patent number: 4595642
Abstract: A fuel cell composite plant characterized by comprising a fuel cell, a device for feeding a fuel gas to an anode of the fuel cell, a gas separator for feeding a high-purity oxygen gas containing argon to a cathode of the fuel cell, a combustor for burning unreacted gases from the anode and the cathode, and a cooling device for condensating and removing water from a burned gas in order to obtain an argon gas.

  • Patent number: 4565306
Abstract: A cream-state fluid container having a body capable of being reduced in interior volume by evacuating the interior thereof in negative pressure, a head mounted at the top of the body and having a pushbutton and a filling port, a pump unit internally mounted in the head and operated by the pushbutton of the head for discharging the content of the body to the filling port of the head, the pump unit having a valve mechanism including a suction valve and a discharge valve in such a manner that a valve body is seated on a cylindrical valve seat formed in the head, a pressure chamber formed in a space from the valve mechanism at the position above the valve mechanism, and an elastic cap capable of being elastically deformed by depressing the cap by the pushbutton. Thus, the wasteful loss of cream-state liquid can be eliminated in discharging the liquid from the container.

  • Patent number: 4321816
Abstract: A thin-walled metal tube includes a tubular nipple section, a shoulder section joined to the nipple section, a tubular barrel section and a border section connecting the shoulder and barrel sections, the barrel section being defined by a wall having a thickness in the range of between about 20 microns and about 70 microns. The border section includes a region which changes in thickness, the wall thickness of the border section being greater than the thickness of the wall defining the barrel section and the thickness changing region having a cross-section having either an arcuate or a tapered region.

  • Patent number: 4200051
Abstract: A side seamless composite type collapsible tube having a tubular nipple section, a shoulder section and a tubular barrel section for receiving an extractable content is provided. The tube sections are formed of a continuous wall of metallic material having a wall thickness from about 20 to 70.mu. with at least a portion of the tubular barrel section coated with a synthetic resinous layer of from about 50 to 500.mu. thick. A method of forming the tube from a metallic blank material is also provided.
