  • Patent number: 8725736
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for clustering similar documents is provided. Concepts are identified for a set of documents and occurrence frequencies are determined for each concept in the documents set. A distance quantifying a similarity for each of the documents in the set with one or more clusters of documents is calculated. Each document is mapped to at least one of the one or more document clusters.

  • Publication number: 20140122450
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for identifying duplicate and near duplicate messages is provided. A set of messages is obtained. A body of one such message is compared with the body of each other message. Those messages having matching bodies are identified as exact duplicates. The exact duplicates are removed from the set. The remaining messages are sorted in order of message length and a shorter message is compared with a longer message. A determination is made that the body of the shorter message is included in the body of the longer message and the shorter message is marked as a near duplicate of the longer message.

  • Publication number: 20140122495
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for clustering documents based on scored concepts is provided. A set of documents is obtained and concepts are extracted from the documents. A score is calculated for each concept. The score is determined as a function of summation of a frequency of occurrence, concept weight, structural weight, and corpus weight. The documents in the set are clustered based on the scores. A vector is formed for each document based on the concepts in that document and the scores associated with the concepts. A similarity is determined between each document and each of the other documents based on the formed vectors. Those documents that are sufficiently distinct from the other documents are identified as seed documents for separate document clusters. Each of the remaining documents are grouped into one of the clusters most similar to that remaining document.

  • Publication number: 20140102623
Abstract: Epoxy resin compositions, which comprise (A) en epoxy resin having two or more epoxy groups in a molecule; (B) a phenol type curing agent where an average hydroxyl group content in a molecule (a mean value of (the total number of hydroxyl groups)/(the total number of benzene rings)), P, satisfies the equation 0<P<1; (C) a phenoxy resin; and (D) rubber particles, are suitable for use as an insulating layer of a multi-layered printed board in which, in spite of the fact that the roughness of a roughened surface after a roughening treatment is relatively small, an insulating layer having a good tight adhesion with a conductor layer formed by plating is able to be easily introduced into a multi-layered printed board.

  • Publication number: 20140062362
Abstract: A maximum current value determination unit determines the maximum current value of a permanent magnet synchronous motor in order to prevent irreversible demagnetization of a permanent magnet of the permanent magnet synchronous motor that may occur by transient current occurring at the time of short-circuiting of three phases, based on one of a set of irreversible demagnetization causing current value corresponding to permanent magnet temperature and the transient current occurring at the time of the short-circuiting of three phases, and a set of irreversible demagnetization causing magnetic field intensity corresponding to the permanent magnet temperature and demagnetization field intensity of the permanent magnet of the permanent magnet synchronous motor occurring at the time of the short-circuiting of three phases. A current control unit controls the current of the permanent magnet synchronous motor so that the current value of the permanent magnet synchronous motor is less than the maximum current value.

  • Patent number: 8626767
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for identifying near duplicate messages is provided. Messages each including a content body are grouped by conversation thread. One or more of the messages also includes an attachment. The messages for each conversation thread are sorted in order of message length. At least one of the messages is selected from one of the threads and the body of the selected message is compared with the body of one such shorter message in that thread. A determination is made that the body of the shorter message is included in the body of the selected message. Hash codes of the attachments for the selected message and the shorter message are compared. The shorter message is marked as a near duplicate message of the selected message when the hash codes of the attachments match.

  • Patent number: 8626761
Abstract: A system and method for scoring concepts in a document set is provided. Concepts including two or more terms extracted from the document set are identified. Each document having one or more of the concepts is designated as a candidate seed document. A score is calculated for each of the concepts identified within each candidate seed document based on a frequency of occurrence, concept weight, structural weight, and corpus weight. A vector is formed for each candidate seed document. The vector is compared with a center of one or more clusters each comprising thematically-related documents. At least one of the candidate seed documents that is sufficiently distinct from the other candidate seed documents is selected as a seed document for a new cluster. Each of the unselected candidate seed documents is placed into one of the clusters having a most similar cluster center.

  • Patent number: 8338247
Abstract: To improve the performance of semiconductor devices. Over an n+-type semiconductor region for source/drain of an n-channel type MISFET and a first gate electrode, and over a p+-type semiconductor region for source/drain of a p-channel type MISFET and a second gate electrode, which are formed over a semiconductor substrate, a metal silicide layer including nickel platinum silicide is formed by a salicide process. After that, a tensile stress film is formed over the whole face of the semiconductor substrate, and then the tensile stress film over the p-channel type MISFET is removed by dry-etching, and, after a compression stress film is formed over the whole face of the semiconductor substrate, the compression stress film over the n-channel type MISFET is removed by dry-etching. The Pt concentration in the metal silicide layer is highest at the surface, and becomes lower as the depth from the surface increases.

  • Publication number: 20120294311
Abstract: The end of a communication period can be detected reliably and efficiently by a control unit and validity/invalidity of search rules in a search table can be effectively managed. A timer is provided so as to correspond to each entry area of the search table. Then, under control of a timer managing unit, the timer starts a counting operation whenever information is written in a validity management table or a packet in which a communication parameter matches a packet search condition corresponding to information on the validity management table that is set as valid is received. In addition, when a counting time of the timer exceeds a preset time-out time, information indicating the time-out is stored in a time-out management table.
