  • Patent number: 7809727
Abstract: A system and method for clustering unstructured documents is provided. Documents having terms with frequencies of occurrence that satisfy upper and lower edge conditions are selected. Concepts are generated for the selected documents. The selected documents are grouped into clusters of the documents. A weight for each of the clusters is evaluated. A similarity value is determined from the frequencies of occurrence for at least one of the terms from the concepts and the cluster weights for each selected document. Each selected document is assigned into one such cluster based on the similarity value of the selected document.

  • Publication number: 20100246694
Abstract: An integrated reception system includes an integrated antenna device and an integrated-signal processing device. The integrated antenna device fed with power from the integrated-signal processing device converts a high frequency signal received by an antenna for receiving a plurality of signals of different signal systems into a digital signal, demodulates the converted digital signal, multiplexes digital demodulated signals which are demodulated, modulates the high frequency signal based on the multiplexed demodulated signal, attenuates the modulated high frequency signal by a predetermined amount of attenuation, and outputs the attenuated signal. The integrated-signal processing device demodulates the high frequency signal, separates the demodulated signal into demodulated signals each digitized for each of the signal systems, and outputs the separated demodulated signal.

  • Publication number: 20100230761
Abstract: To improve the performance of semiconductor devices. Over an n+-type semiconductor region for source/drain of an n-channel type MISFET and a first gate electrode, and over a p+-type semiconductor region for source/drain of a p-channel type MISFET and a second gate electrode, which are formed over a semiconductor substrate, a metal silicide layer including nickel platinum silicide is formed by a salicide process. After that, a tensile stress film is formed over the whole face of the semiconductor substrate, and then the tensile stress film over the p-channel type MISFET is removed by dry-etching, and, after a compression stress film is formed over the whole face of the semiconductor substrate, the compression stress film over the n-channel type MISFET is removed by dry-etching. The Pt concentration in the metal silicide layer is highest at the surface, and becomes lower as the depth from the surface increases.

  • Publication number: 20100049708
Abstract: A system and method for scoring concepts in a document set is provided. Concepts including two or more terms extracted from the document set are identified. Each document having one or more of the concepts is designated as a candidate seed document. A score is calculated for each of the concepts identified within each candidate seed document based on a frequency of occurrence, concept weight, structural weight, and corpus weight. A vector is formed for each candidate seed document. The vector is compared with a center of one or more clusters each comprising thematically-related documents. At least one of the candidate seed documents that is sufficiently distinct from the other candidate seed documents is selected as a seed document for a new cluster. Each of the unselected candidate seed documents is placed into one of the clusters having a most similar cluster center.

  • Publication number: 20100030715
Abstract: A social network model, based on data relevant to a user, is used for semantic processing to enable improved entity recognition among text accessed by the user. An entity extraction module of the server, with reference to a general training corpus, general gazetteers, user-specific gazetteers, and entity models, parses text to identify entities. The entities may be, for example, people, organizations, or locations. A social network module of the server builds the social network model implicit in the data accessed by the user. The social network model includes the relationships between entities and an indication of the strength of each relationship. The social network module is also used to disambiguate names and unify entities based on the social network model.

  • Publication number: 20090307630
Abstract: A system and method for processing a message store for near duplicate messages is provided. Metadata, content, and each attachment associated with messages are extracted. Near duplicate messages in the message store are identified. Compound digests taken of the metadata for, of the content contained in, and of the each attachment associated with each of the messages in the message store are compared. Each message having a compound digest not matching the compound digest of any other message is marked as unique and each message having a compound digest matching the compound digest of at least one other message is marked as an exact duplicate. Messages remaining unmarked and having similar content are grouped into sets that each includes one or more near duplicate messages. One of the near duplicate messages is designated as unique and each remaining near duplicate message in the set is designated as a near duplicate.

  • Publication number: 20090229256
Abstract: PM elimination or sulfur release are performed on both exhaust systems (exhaust passages 13L, 13R) using a common procedure regardless of the state of a catalyst arranged in each one of the exhaust systems. This reduces the number of recovery cycles of the catalysts and suppresses increase of fuel consumption caused by the PM elimination and the sulfur release compared to a case in which the PM elimination/sulfur release is carried out each time a request for catalyst control is generated by one of the exhaust systems. In the PM elimination control, the PM elimination is performed using a catalyst exhibiting a lowest catalyst bed temperature of the catalysts as a reference. In this manner, PM is prevented from remaining unburned. Further, in the sulfur release control, the sulfur release is performed using an average of catalyst bed temperatures of the catalysts as a reference. This maximally suppresses thermal deterioration of the catalysts and ensures sufficient release of sulfur.

Each such message not matching any other such message in the set is marked as a unique message. Each such message matching at least one other such message in the set is marked as an exact duplicate message. • Patent number: 7565798
Abstract: When conditions for regenerating purifiers are established, a control computer first causes an addition nozzle to supply a reducing agent to a first exhaust path. At this time, the control computer reduces a vane opening degree in a first supercharger and increases a vane opening degree in a second supercharger. Accordingly, the flow rate of exhaust gas discharged to the outside from the first exhaust path is reduced, and the flow rate of exhaust gas flowing to the intake path via a first exhaust gas supply path is increased. Also, the flow rate of exhaust gas discharged to the outside from a second exhaust path is increased, and the flow rate of exhaust gas flowing to the intake path via a second exhaust gas supply path is reduced. As a result, the purifiers are regenerated in a reliable manner, while suppressing variations in the flow rate of exhaust gas supplied to the intake path.

  • Patent number: 7540146
Abstract: Cylinder heads are each provided with a fuel injection valve, and an addition nozzle for adding fuel for activating an exhaust purifying catalyst to an exhaust manifold. There exists a non-exhaust period in which an exhaust gas does not flow out to exhaust passages from the exhaust manifolds during an operation of an engine. An ECU controls the addition nozzles in such a manner that the addition nozzles execute a fuel addition during periods except the non-exhaust period. Accordingly, the fuel added to the exhaust manifolds for activating the catalysts is avoided from collecting on a wall surface of an exhaust system without getting on an exhaust stream.
