  • Publication number: 20060190493
Abstract: A system and method for identifying messages in a message store is provided. At least part of metadata associated with and at least part of content contained in each of a plurality of messages in a message store are encoded by generating a metadata sequence and a content sequence for each message. The messages are grouped into sets by similar metadata sequences and similar content sequences. The messages in each set are compared. Each such message not matching any other such message in the set is marked as a unique message. Each such message matching at least one other such message in the set is marked as an exact duplicate message. Each such message including a subset of at least one other such message in the set is marked as a near duplicate message.

  • Publication number: 20060107658
Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying system reliably detects an amount of accumulated particulates, lengthens forced regeneration intervals, and improves fuel efficiency. The exhaust gas purifying system comprises: a particulate filter 22 disposed in an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine 2 and collecting particulates from exhaust gas, and an NO2 generating unit 21 upstream of or in the particulate filter 22; a discharged particulate amount calculating unit A1 calculates an amount Me of discharged particulates on the basis of an excess air ratio ?; a burnt particulate amount calculating unit A2 calculates an amount Mb of burnt particulates on the basis of the temperature of exhaust gas in front of the particulate filter or the temperature of the particulate filter; and a particulate accumulation amount calculating unit calculates an amount Ma of accumulated particulates on the basis of the amount Me of discharged particulates or the amount Mb of burnt particulates.

  • Publication number: 20060089947
Abstract: A system and method for dynamically evaluating latent concepts in unstructured documents is disclosed. A multiplicity of concepts are extracted from a set of unstructured documents into a lexicon. The lexicon uniquely identifies each concept and a frequency of occurrence. A frequency of occurrence representation is created for the documents set. The frequency representation provides an ordered corpus of the frequencies of occurrence of each concept. A subset of concepts is selected from the frequency of occurrence representation filtered against a pre-defined threshold. A group of weighted clusters of concepts selected from the concepts subset is generated. A matrix of best fit approximations is determined for each document weighted against each group of weighted clusters of concepts.

  • Patent number: 7035876
Abstract: A system and method for evaluating a structured message store for message redundancy is described. A header and a message body are extracted from each of a plurality of messages maintained in a structured message store. A substantially unique hash code is calculated over at least part of the header and over the message body of each message. The messages are grouped by the hash codes. One such message is identified as a unique message within each group. In a further embodiment, the messages are grouped by conversation thread. The message body for each message within each conversation thread group is compared. At least one such message within each conversation thread group is identified as a unique message.

  • Patent number: 7020211
Abstract: In a transmission node, a portion of the control information is separated into M (M is an integer) parts of control information blocks having N (N is an integer) bit length. A control information parity having (8?N) bit length is added to control information block i. The control information block is encoded to M parts of control information having 8 bit length according to a predetermined control information bit array. The control information parity and the control information bit array are set such that Hamming distance of each of the control information code is d, and Hamming distance of the control information 10B code is D (d and D are integers). In a receiving node, the control information code is separated into the control information block and the control information parity. Parity check is performed. When an error is detected, error processing is performed.

  • Patent number: 6989731
Abstract: An electronic device detects whether a warning status has occurred and if the warning status is not released within a predetermined time, warning information is transmitted to a registered device. If the warning status is not released in spite of transmitting the warning information and if the user is not near the device, warning information is transmitted to one or more hand-held terminals in an external network according to predetermined order. If the warning status is released within a predetermined time having elapsed from the transmission of the warning information to the hand-held terminal, warning released information indicating that the warning status has been released is transmitted to the hand-held terminal.
