    Abstract: A wireless mesh network with dynamic back off for reduced power consumption is generally described herein. In some embodiments, the wireless mesh network includes a network controller to configure a data frame comprising a sync period followed by at least one data period and a plurality of network nodes configured to operate in at least one of a network-running mode and a sleep/RF quiet mode. The network controller is configured to transmit synchronization messages during a first portion of the sync period and receive upstream requests from the network nodes during a second portion of the sync period. During the sleep/RF quiet mode, the network nodes are configured to wake up periodically during a listening interval for detection of a synchronization message from the network controller, and return to the sleep/RF quiet mode and increase a back-off time between listening intervals for increasingly longer periods when no synchronization message is detected.

The Tx may insert in the frame an indication that the data is non-network id data and transmit the frame over a wireless network according to the network protocol. The indication may be provided by the values of one or more fields of the frame. The receiving device may recognize that the NIF contains non-network id data and may extract the data from the NIF.

Opposite the attachment area is a dielectric area following termination of the outer conductor in the transition area of the microstrip transmission line.

    Abstract: A multi-function device for stoppering and cleaning sinks is provided. The device includes a sink stopper base, a handle, and a scoop extending from the base. The scoop has a curved body and two parallel opposing side edges and a lower edge extending between. Each side edge has an arcuate upper section having a curvature of a first radius, which terminates at the lower surface of the base. The upper curvature in combination with the linear lower section of the side edges facilitate the lower edge of the scoop to deflect without bending backwards when slid across a sink surface. The handle includes a cavity having a downwardly sloped region which provides the users with additional mechanical leverage and control when manipulating the device. In certain implementations, the device incorporates a two-piece design which allows the scooping member to be removed from the base when not in use.
