  • Patent number: 9154926
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for delivery of a message based on a status of a receiving device. In a particular embodiment, a method provides, in a first wireless communication device, receiving first user input from a user indicating a message for transmission to a second wireless communication device. The method further provides receiving second user input from the user indicating that the message should not be delivered to the second wireless communication device when a status of the second wireless communication device satisfies a criteria. The method further provides transferring the message and an indication of the second user input to a wireless communication network, wherein, based on the indication of the second user input, the wireless communication network does not deliver the message to the second wireless communication device if the criteria is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20150230965
Abstract: A simple, reusable, adjustable nasal dilator is disclosed for improved breathing by the user. The dilator includes first and second elastic bands to which nose clips are attached. The nose clips are used for engaging with the side walls of the user's nostrils, and optionally have nose pads for increased comfort level during use. The two bands of the dilator work together to pull the user's nostrils open, thereby providing force and tension to dilate the nasal passages of the user. The nasal dilator can be worn during sleep periods to improve breathing and sleeping, as well as other times the user wishes to improve air flow through the nasal passages.

  • Patent number: 8800050
Abstract: Technology is provided for provisioning a user computer system with membership in a privilege set in order to execute a pre-release resource. Some examples of pre-release resources are alpha and beta versions of firmware or software which can be downloaded to user computer systems. The pre-release resources are associated with different privilege sets based on their security risk levels. In one example, a security risk level may represent a number of user computer systems at risk of an integrity failure of the pre-release resource. In other examples, the security risk may represent an operational layer of the user computer system affected by the resource or a level of security testing certification success for the pre-release resource. A privilege set identifier indicates membership in one or more privilege sets.

Abstract: A wireless mesh network with dynamic back off for reduced power consumption is generally described herein. In some embodiments, the wireless mesh network includes a network controller to configure a data frame comprising a sync period followed by at least one data period and a plurality of network nodes configured to operate in at least one of a network-running mode and a sleep/RF quiet mode. The network controller is configured to transmit synchronization messages during a first portion of the sync period and receive upstream requests from the network nodes during a second portion of the sync period. During the sleep/RF quiet mode, the network nodes are configured to wake up periodically during a listening interval for detection of a synchronization message from the network controller, and return to the sleep/RF quiet mode and increase a back-off time between listening intervals for increasingly longer periods when no synchronization message is detected.
