  • Publication number: 20210319112
Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for implementing a release automation dashboard module are disclosed. A database that stores a set of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit rules. A processor is coupled to the database via a communication network. The processor creates a release; checks the release for violations against the set of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audit rules; validates that the release is scanned for cyber vulnerabilities in accordance with an organization's established practices; and authorizes deployment of the release based on a determination that the one or more features from the release does not violate the set of SOX audit rules and that the one or more features from the release meet a predetermined threshold for the cyber vulnerabilities.

  • Patent number: 11118253
Abstract: Described are techniques for treating metals by exposing the metals to reactive solutions to reduce a temperature of the metal and to modify a surface of the metal through chemical reaction, such as by removing material or adding material. The disclosed techniques may advantageously increase the rate at which the temperature of the metal may be reduced as compared to conventional cooling techniques involving pure water, increase metal manufacturing rates, and reduce overall complexity of a metal manufacturing process. The disclosed techniques may also advantageously expand the range of available surface treatments, allow for faster surface treatment processes, and reduce or eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals during a surface treatment process. Such advantages may arise by employing chemical processing that takes place or takes place more efficiently at elevated temperatures.

  • Patent number: 11104269
Abstract: A vehicle computing system may implement techniques to dynamically modify warning signals from a vehicle to ensure that an object (e.g., dynamic object) is notified of the vehicle operation. A vehicle computing system may emit a first warning signal including an audio and/or visual signal and may detect an object reaction to the first warning signal. Based on a determination that the object reaction does not substantially alter the ability for the vehicle to overcome the object, the vehicle computing system may modify a frequency, volume, luminosity, color, shape, motion, etc. of the first warning signal to emit a second warning signal. The vehicle computing system may continually modify warning signals until the object reacts according to an expected reaction or becomes irrelevant to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11027648
Abstract: A vehicle computing system may implement techniques to dynamically adjust a volume and/or frequency of a sound emitted from a vehicle to warn an object (e.g., dynamic object) of a potential conflict with the vehicle. The techniques may include determining a baseline noise level and/or frequencies proximate to the object. The baseline noise level and/or frequencies may be determined based on an identification of one or more noise generating objects in the environment. The vehicle computing system may determine the volume and/or a frequency of the sound based in part on the baseline noise level and/or frequencies, an urgency of the warning, a probability of conflict between the vehicle and the object, a speed of the object, etc.

  • Patent number: 11016148
Abstract: A tester for a relay comprises an enclosure, a testing circuit that includes a controller, electronic switch components, a power source, indicator LEDs, a test start switch, a relay type switch, and five electric leads each connected with one terminal of the relay. With the relay type switch set to the type of relay being tested, with power supplied to each lead, and with the test start switch actuated, the controller can set each lead to ground, in turn, and then count the number of other leads that are grounded as a result. The controller then illuminates the at least one indicator to indicate either the passing relay test or the failed relay test based on the counts measured. Once the leads connected to the relay coil are identified, cyclic testing of the relay can be performed.

  • Publication number: 20210070664
Abstract: A method is provided in which a resin coating is applied to a surface of a preform. The resin coating includes a carbonaceous resin and a particulate. The preform is added to a tooling. The preform, which is positioned in the tooling, is cured. The tooling is removed. The resin coating on the surface of the preform is pyrolyzed to form a resin carbon-char layer on the surface of the preform. The preform and the resin carbon-char layer are infiltrated with silicon to form a ceramic matrix composite (CMC) component including a layer of silicon carbide. During the infiltration, the silicon reacts with carbon in the resin carbon-char layer to form the layer of silicon carbide on the preform.

  • Publication number: 20210007919
Abstract: A person support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, or the like, includes an exit detection system that has, in some embodiments, multiple user-selectable modes. A first mode issues an alert in response to a static condition being met and the second mode issues an alert in response to a dynamic condition being met. The static condition may be defined by an unchanging boundary that triggers an alert if the occupant's center of gravity crosses the boundary. The dynamic condition may be defined by a changing boundary that triggers an alert if the occupant's center of gravity crosses it. The changing boundary may change based upon the occupant's height, weight, BMI, vital sign, or other characteristic. The changing boundary may also change based upon a position of one or more components of the person support apparatus, such as a siderail or Fowler section.

  • Patent number: 10854018
Abstract: A method for calculating a fare for a transport service is provided. One or more processors receive a plurality of location data points from a computing device associated with a vehicle providing the transport service. The plurality of location data points correspond to a route of travel during performance of the transport service. A determination is made, based on a set of location data points of the plurality of location data points, that the vehicle has potentially driven along a roadway in which a toll is to be assessed as part of the fare. The roadway in which the toll is to be assessed is identified. The amount for the toll is determined for the identified roadway.
