Abstract: A method is described of mixing fluid materials, including solids and gases. The materials to be mixed are introduced between two cylindrical rotors mounted in parallel on a motorized shaft. The rotors have arrays of cavities on their cylindrical surfaces and rotate within close proximity to the interior of a cylindrical shell. Passage of the fluid between the rotating rotors and the interior surface of the cylindrical shell causes cavitation, which mixes the materials. The mixture is passed to outlets on the far sides of the rotors from the inlet. Apparatus is described for extending the flow path of the materials and thus increasing exposure to the cavitation process.

Abstract: Computer-implemented systems and methods disclosed herein disclose features for determining the frequency of exposure to real-world products embedded with Internet-Of-Things (IoT) hardware and determining a comprehensive targeting profile identifying the interests of users based on their exposure to real-world products. A computing device carried by a user wirelessly receives product exposure data from a nearby IoT-enabled device upon entering within a certain proximity of the IoT-enabled device. The computing device further compiles the product exposure data with previous product exposure data for IoT-enabled devices to which the computing device was previously exposed. Based on the compiled product exposure data, a server device determines a frequency of exposure to a product corresponding to the IoT-enabled device over a period of time.

Abstract: Visual representations of recurring revenue management system data and predictions are disclosed. A user interface is generated for an electronic display, the user interface including a graphical representation of one or more recurring revenue assets, the graphical representation representing each of the one or more recurring revenue assets according to one or more metrics that define each of the one or more recurring revenue assets. A predicted outcome for at least one of the one or more recurring revenue assets is predicted, the calculating being from a predictive model that is based on aggregate historical information collected from one or more data sources. A graphical representation of the predicted outcome is generated according to one or more parameters related to the one or more metrics, for concurrent display in the user interface with the graphical representation of one or more recurring revenue assets.

Abstract: A mobile telecommunications network includes a plurality of nodes for wireless communication with a mobile telecommunications device and a respective server associated with each of said nodes, each server having processing functions, wherein a processing function of a first one of the servers associated with a first one of the nodes is operable to support a communication session with the mobile telecommunications device to provide a service thereto. The processing function of the first one of the servers is operable to send data relating to the communication session to a second one of the servers associated with a second one of the nodes for use by a processing function of the second one of the servers to enable the processing function of the second one of the servers to support the communication session and provide continuity of the communication session if the mobile telecommunications device moves from registration with the first one of the nodes to the second one of the nodes.

Abstract: Used water-in-oil emulsified drilling muds are prepared for reuse by removing excess water. The excess water is removed by passing the used mud through a cavitation device, under controlled conditions, along with injected air. While the emulsion is heated in the cavitation device, the air is finely dispersed in it, so is able to absorb water evaporated from the discrete, discontinuous phase aqueous droplets in the emulsion. A mixture of incoming and aerated emulsion is maintained at an optimal temperature in a process tank while a steady state continuous process is controlled to utilize the heat input, after compensating for radiant heat losses and other system losses, substantially exclusively for the evaporation of water in the emulsion. The process is applicable to any water-in-oil emulsion.

Abstract: Offline consumer behavior and interactions are observed using beacons positioned at venues where consumers spend time and interact with each other. The beacons communicate with mobile computing devices that are carried by the observed consumers. The observed consumer behavior provides actionable insights into how consumers influence each other. For example, the people that a particular consumer spends time with form a “circle of influence” associated with that consumer. If the consumer makes a purchase, members of the circle of influence are observed to understand the degree to which they were influenced by the purchase, if at all. Metrics that quantify a consumer's influence over other consumers allow marketers to more effectively target both the influencing and influenced consumers. Also, if relatively little information is known about a particular consumer, that consumer's digital marketing profile can be supplemented using information known about the consumers with whom he/she often spends time.

Abstract: A method and system for preventing muting of ongoing services when a new multicast traffic channel, MTCH, is to be started or stopped are disclosed. According to one aspect, embodiments provide a method that includes sending an indication of service start to trigger sending of a multicast control channel, MCCH, update during a first MCCH modification period to inform the base station of the new MTCH to be started during a second MCCH modification period at a time determined at the base station. The method further includes sending control packet data units, PDUs, during an MCCH modification period preceding the second MCCH modification period, the PDUs arranged to avoid muting of the ongoing services.

The scheduler is configured to process both a static and a dynamic distance to target signal.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein offer assistance to customers shopping at a real-world shopping venue carrying mobile devices connected to a communication network. This involves tracking a physical action of a customer present at the real-world shopping venue and determining to offer assistance to the customer based on the tracked physical action. Based on determining to offer assistance to the customer, a notification is sent to a mobile device of the customer. The notification identifies that live support is available to assist the customer while the customer is present at the real-world shopping venue.

Abstract: A method for generating and maintaining hierarchical tags with community-based ratings is provided. Tags for media streams are organized into a hierarchical format. Users may select tags from the hierarchical tag database that describes a particular multimedia content. If the user is unable to locate a desired tag, the user may submit a new tag. Upon submission of the new tag, a librarian approves the tag before storing and placing the tag in the hierarchical tag database. Users are also able to rate the quality of the association between the tag and the multimedia content. If a tag is rated low, the tag may be removed from the hierarchical tag database. If the tag is rated highly, display of the tag in a list of tags becomes more prominent.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards managing application delivery over a network. Change information that corresponds to changes to an application may be provided to a delivery pipeline. The change information may be verified in part based on a static analysis of the content of the change information, compiling, and unit testing. Reviewers may be notified to approve the change information. A version of the application that includes the change information may be generated. Acceptance testing may be performed that includes provisioning computing resources in an acceptance computing environment. And, deploying a version of application that includes the change information into the acceptance computing environment. If the acceptance testing passes, a shipping operation may be enabled pausing the delivery pipeline until an authorized user activates the shipping operation restarting the delivery pipeline and deploying the application to one or more computing environments.

Abstract: An enhanced media gateway allows the signaling and media paths of a multimedia call to be merged so that signaling of a session and establishment of the media path may be coordinated. The enhanced media gateway may include a session border controller, gateway, router, and digital signal processors that operate in a coordinated fashion, so that information about the media path may be included in the signaling of the session, so that the media path may be directly established in connection with the session signaling, and so that bandwidth may be reserved in the router when the media path is established. This allows routing to be set up using media path signaling to obviate the use of a reservation protocol.
